Well! As I noted back in December, this winter was going to be my Big Return to Wildcat, but wouldn’t you know it, everything got shuttered just as I was about to go! (Yeah, that’s the ticket!)

But I and my 68-year-old ass will definitely be back, to terrorize the slopes next season. S’a promise.

Okay. You do have to be rather careful to keep track of where your center of mass is. Sometimes, it takes about two or three paces to make sure you’ve got your feet underneath you.

That wouldn’t have been a problem if he put more time in on cross-country skis.

It’s all downhill. I don’t particularly care for cross-country.

Last season’s ski thread is here: It’s hot out and our A/C broke down this Labor Day weekend, but I just bought a season pass (Epic Pass) for the upcoming ski season, so I was inspired to start this season’s ski thread. Last season ended rather abruptly in March due to COVID-19. The pandemic is still ongoing, of course, so I’m avoiding all fly-away trips and bus trips until the situation gets more under control or we get a vaccine.
