Licking the wallpaper was one of my favorite parts (of the movie, not of growing up).
Maybe I licked too much wallpaper as a child, because it’s straight up not there anymore and maybe it never was.

Thank you! Apparently all that syrup hasn’t fried my brain. Like I said before, I never noticed this part.
Well, that was Willie Wonka’s wallpaper. It was thoroughly soaked in . . . certain substances of an illicit nature, to be removed for furver analysis.

It is still there. It is later in the movie. I just watched this last week (stumbled across it on ABC Family or something) starting when they were on the boat after Agustus fell in the River.
I think it is right after Violet turns into a blueberry.
