That article suggests that the hackers might have stolen a hundred terabytes of data but I’m skeptical. Wouldn’t it take a really long time to download that much data, even given a reasonably fast connection? Does that seem plausible to you?

This calculator gives just over 22 hours at 10 Gbps.

At 25.6Mbps, it would take 8680 hours, just over 361 days.

What I am thinking is that the hackers went in multiple times, over a time period and not downloading a benjamin terrabyte in one shot.

It’s unclear when the hack began. One interview with someone claiming to be with Guardians for Peace said they had been siphoning data from Sony for a year.

Seems like they had plenty of time to download whatever they wanted, if true.
