The Soup Nazi and Ed Asner are filming in the nearby town of West Dundee, in one of my favorite restaurant/brewery joints, “Emmett’s”. I might have to go over there and check it out. Maybe order a crab bisque (but only if he serves it).
This is the same neighborhood where Tom Hanks filmed “Road to Perdition”. They transformed my old hair salon for a scene in that movie.
I get such a kick out of our local area in movies! WooHOO! With the added goodness of the soup nazi…Ya gotta love it!

I know how you feel, they filmed the armoured-car fight scenes in Spider-Man 3 around the corner of my office in downtown Cleveland. even though I’m inured to the glamour of showbiz it was still a thrill to see “my neighborhood” getting trashed by the Sandman.

Okay…it stinks of suckfest on its surface, but that doesn’t matter as long as I can spot stuff I recognize.
