This is not the scandal, it is a diversion of the true scandal.
And it is working. We still don’t know what the true scandal is, although it is happening right before our eyes.
As of about 6pm EDT, the White House is still sending out spokespeople to say that Donald Loves Pete and nothing will change that.

But Donald DOES need a military that will keep Americans in line, and if Pete can’t do it, he’ll find someone who can. (I’d bet on “Border Czar” Tom Homan, who has the vicious character needed for the job.)
