The Straight Dope is a drug site/hijacker!

A few months ago I recently had a wonderful, life-changing experience (and no I didn’t start doing drugs :smack: ), I came across the Straight Dope and the awesomeness sucked me in and I never looked back. One day I started reading it at school. Then I came back a few days later (as I never show up for school much anyway) and discovered I was not allowed to use the computer in my class for a month. :frowning:

When I asked why my teacher said that “somehow” the computers home page was changed to straightdope.com. First I thought “how did that happen?” Then I thought, “whats the problem?” She told me she thought it was a drug site. :smiley: Didnt bother to check out the site for herself and just assumed.

But has this ever happened to you? After reading the Straight Dope your homepage got hijacked and changed to straightdope.com? Was it some evil malware thats Macintosh compatable or was it that one jackass with aspbergers that does pointless things to piss someone off? :cool:

Were you able to explain that it wasn’t a drug site to your teacher’s satisfaction?

Missouri. And I go to a shitty
special school where the classrooms are small so out of the 4 people still left in the class by the time I left, I doubt any of them are Straight Dopers. Now regular dope yes. :wally

And convincing my teacher it wasent a drug site, inconclusive. She said she never checked out the site by the time I left.

And dont welcome me yet Ive only got until December 13th to stay here.
