So I started a novel that my girlfriend had lying around named ‘The Bug Funeral’ by Sarah R. Shaber. In the acknowledgments she name checks The Straight Dope.
I haven’t gotten very far in the book yet but apparently past life regression and reincarnation are part of the plot. She mentions The Straight Dope website has ‘interesting information’ on those subjects.
It’s possible that this was mentioned before but I couldn’t find any posts about it.
I wonder what the author believes about those subjects and, if she is a believer, what response she got if she posted threads on those topics.
