The Sun and Moon - pictures

Can anyone point me someplace on the internet with pictures of the sun and moon I can use? We are doing a baby’s room and want to paint a cool sun, like you might find on a tarot card or an old map, not scary but not cartoony either, on one wall and a similar moon on the opposite wall. Can’t find a picture of what we want to save our lives. Can’t describe it very well either. Any help?

I’m thinking what you want is something in a “Celestial” motif. I’ll look around for you and see what I can come up with today.

I LOVE the first one - I’m looking for some kind of graphic to paint on the floor down in our basement. It’s got a bar, etc. but the floor is concrete and I have been wracking my brain trying to come up with something!

I found the one’s phouka did but thought theymight be hard for you to reproduce…I found that About.com has a section of clipart links you might want to try. I was able to come up with www.iconbazaar.com/stars/ which has quite a few stars and suns to choose from …didn’t have quite as much luck with moons but if you really have the time you can probably do better than I did.

Joe, actually, my fiancee just finished up 2 paintings today of the sun and the moon. Like you said, “Tarot Card” style. Very cool looking. I’ll try to get some pics of them up soon!

Many thanks to all. Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. I post from work and was out of the office yesterday afternoon.

Phouka you are awesome. You understood exactly what I was looking for and you found it. I had seen the last 3, the Tarot cards, but the others were much cleaner images, and a little happier too, better suited for the boy’s room.

Vogue, I’m still paging through the link you posted. Some good stuff, we will probably do small stars on the Moon wall.

Idiot, I would love to see pics of the paintings. Looking forward to them.
