The Third Annual What-Is-Your-Gotta-Have-It-For-Thanksgiving Food Thread

Buttered biscuits. mmmmmmm

Not a must, but I only eat these on TG: deviled eggs, and mash potatoes with peas and corn mixed in.

Non-negotiable Thanksgiving foods, in my opinion:

Turkey
Mashed potatoes, from scratch
Stuffing (I will make it this year)
Gravy from a can (my family can’t make gravy from scratch - believe me, we’ve tried)
Cranberry sauce (canned is OK)
Some kind of pie (one of my sisters is making pumpkin and apple pies this year)

I can take or leave the sweet potatoes. Biscuits are nice, but I’m OK with the usual tiny rolls we get from the market as long as they’re not sourdough.

Also, my dad always makes sure there is wine for any adults who want to drink, and sparkling apple cider for the kids and the non-drinkers.

Sweet potato pie is always a nice part of a Thanksgiving dinner!
