After all that you’ve read from those who have done research, these are the only two choices?
False decisions, false decisions…

You really don’t know what the fuck you are talking about, do you? There is nothing that has/had been offered that conflicts with what I proposed. Feel free to go check. Just be sure to include words I actually wrote.
Oh, and it’s quite magnanimous for you to try to come to someone else’s defense when you seem unable to come to your own. As in the nonsense of yours that I pointed out in Post 126.
Speaking of lame sequels… Clint phoned it in on that one.
I have little doubt that the gentleman in the video’s motivation is to stop his religion from being hijacked. But correctly recognising one negative aspect doesn’t, unfortunetly, make one an expert. It’s not enough for someone to say, “hey, we have some problems, here”, and so earn everyone rallying around you. Simply being on the same team doesn’t mean you’re a good team player, if that makes any sense. Der Trihs is a fellow atheist, but he doesn’t really do “my” side any favours.
And as a general point, I still hate the “You don’t just disagree with me; you have some ulterior motivation or flaw or unright-thinkingness which means you don’t” idea. It’s cheap.
Burqa: What you get when you cross a muumuu with a hoodie.
Silly.
I pay attention to actual Muslims who are willing to discuss all aspects of their religion (and all sects within it) rather tha paying attention to shills for Beck and company.
And your insinuation that I have a “voice in my head” that is infatuated by Political Correctness is nothing more than a projection of your xenophobia. I have never demonstrated any Political Correctness although I am sure that you would characterize any attempt to eschew xenophobia as “PC.”
(I do thank you for propounding, earlier, that we need to be wary of the entire Right Wing of American politics so that we can avoid any more Yanks blowing up Federal Buildings, however.)
It was the Third Jihad
another sleepy dusty Tehran daay-ay
I was plotting with the mullahs
and my brothers were bidding on E-baay-ay
I’ll work on it.
I have muslim neighbors across the street, and she wears some really pretty clothes. Yesterday she was wearing something magenta with embroidery around the neckline, and a hijab. I am envious. I would just look silly in that.
In case any one’s curious, we talk about our families, our pets, the weather, we say hello and how are you. We don’t talk about religion or politics. As far as I know they’re vegetarian, and they don’t drink or smoke. ( That’s what his cousin told me.) They’re great neighbors. They are the grandson, and his wife and child, of our former neighbors, senior citizens that relocated because of health issues. In other words, these muslims are not “they” or 'them" or “other”, they’re a continuation of a really nice family in my little neighborhood.
It would behoove you to be wary of vegetarians.
For some reason, probably because he is a doctor, he can be trusted. Other Muslims can not. And buy a toothbrush.
[del]Hitler[/del] Lord Voldemort was a vegetarian. We should certainly be wary, but in a non-specific sort of fashion.
Silly. Silly.
Wow that’s easy!
Newsflash: the guy in question is an actual Muslim. Imagine that! And discussing the myriad aspects of the religion is precisely what he’s doing. Tell me, what makes him less than an actual muslim for you. What bona fides does he, in your estimation, lack.
It was more than an insinuation.
Huh? Cite as to what the hell you’re talking about, please.
Why is that? If you can point to the numerous murders of innocents they have committed in the name of vegetarianism, and then show me that about a quarter of American vegetarians think that those acts are somehow acceptable, I’ll move them over into the wary column right away. Whatcha got?
It was rather obviously a reference to Timothy McVeigh, and pointing out that if some Muslims blowing things up means you should be terrified of all Muslims, then you should likewise be terrified of right wingers because some of them blow things up. But I’m sure you already knew that.

Well, after reading the exchanges here, I’m convinced. From now on, any time I see someone who looks like they might be muslim, I’m gonna given 'em The Eye. You know, just so they know I’m wary of them.
Does the OP have any ponr to recommend? 'cause even if (Muslim?) lesbians are involved I’ll be sure to skip it.
Pardon me while I…
::::yaaawn::::
Well, you seemed to be using humor to try to make a point. Since you say you weren’t, never mind.
