Here we go Trek geeks time to find out the ultimate top ten episodes according to the Straight Dope minions.
Everyone is to give their top five favorite episiodes from any of the many Trek incarnations. I will keep a running tally and we will find out which is the best.
Hate to do this but try to give the title of the episodes in Question instead of vague descriptions like “the nazi planet” or “the one where Picard meets the Romulans for the second time”. Please give the series it is from as well. I’d suggest going to startrek.com or imdb.com to get the titles if you don’t know them. By the way if youdon’t know the names for shame what kind of fan are you?
1-“The Inner Light” (STNG)
2-“City on the Edge of Forever” (TOS)
3-“In the Pale Moonlight” (DS9)
4-“Errand of Mercy” (TOS)
5-“Dear Doctor” (Enterprise)
TOS: City on the Edge of Forever
TNG: All Good Things
TNG: Yesterday’s Enterprise
DS9: Necessary Evil
DS9: The Visitor
(Some that didn’t quite make my list, but almost: The Inner Light, Duet, Trials and Tribble-ations, Amok Time, The Undiscovered Country, Mirror Mirror, Whispers, In the Pale Moonlight, I Borg.)
I have all the tapes. “Yesteryear” was probably the best of that bunch. And in the one called “Practical Joker,” when the ship’s computer plays tricks on everyone, there’s actually a scene involving a HOLODECK! Yes, a holodeck! I couldn’t believe it when I saw it.
