The Trump Administration: The Clusterfuck Continues (Part 1)

That’s unfair. The protagonist of the song, first off as a 60’s-70s’s war Veteran whose country would have phrased the term exactly like that; has absolutely let him down, and in 1984 times he’s calling out that same military using their words to de-personify the Vietnamese.

The chorus so cherished by the GOP is certainly irony, yet with a sadness again that the USA has turned their back on him as the jobs were all going abroad.

Perhaps the most misunderstood song in the history of pop music.

They’re afraid they’ll also get sued by Cheeto-face.

The SCOTUS majority just ruled that Trump can claw back the $4B in foreign aid that Congress approved. To quote the decision: “. . .the court’s conservative majority said the president’s ability to conduct foreign affairs appeared “to outweigh the potential harm” faced by foreign aid recipients.”

You mean “potential harm” like death, starvation and disease? So SCOTUS has basically declared that it’s okay to murder hundreds of thousands of people to save a few bucks and the Turd’s ego.

Pardon me, is this the right place to list news articles indicating that Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Steve Bannon, and Price Andrew have all been listed as being part of the Epstein files? ( Supposedly there were two names that were redacted. And no, I don’t know if they were redacted with a Sharpie. )

Also, I’m a little concerned about hundreds of generals and admirals suddenly being summoned to VA.

An article in the Washington Post says that Hegseth says that the soldiers who perpetrated the massacre of the Lakota at Wounded Knee should keep their Medals of Honor, medals which were previously revoked by Congress back in 1990. Trump and Hegseth reward war criminals for the massacre that Congress officially apologised for back in 1990. What next, the establishment of an American SS?

Oh, that’s well underway. It goes by ICE.

ICE-ICE?

Baby.

Aren’t they all rather dead? I don’t support massacring people, but I’m not quite sure I understand why this is an issue now.

"…when we should really be using it to praise people! “Man, you ran that prison camp like a Nazi! It was so efficient and violent!” "

Why honor them? The Wounded Knee perpetrators are war criminals, why reward their legacy?

Because they killed brown people including non combatant women and children, following illegal and immoral orders without question.

All the wedding planners whose clients requested that “Every Breath You Take” be played during the ceremony would like a word.

A lot of his murderous base ( too damn many to cite ) are ignorant caucasian gun-head cowpoke aholes, with absolutely no qualms about murdering any person who isn’t lilly white or who doesn’t sit in the Sunday pew for the latest shoot-em-up sermon from pastor Snake Venom.

He can’t afford to alienate an easily led armed crowd of racist bigoted cowboy hat wearing murderers can he?

Right, but what I mean is, thess honors were revoked a generation ago, when Republicans still had spines. What prompted this now? It wasn’t the dead veterans. It sure as hell wasn’t the Lakota. Is this on a list of regular right-wing grievances somewhere, or is it a reach for a distraction, any distraction, or what?

It is part of a pattern, renaming Army bases for Confederates, resurrecting Confederate memorials and now rewarding the memories of war criminals.

Hegseth wants the “Department of War” to increase its “maximum lethality” rather than its “tepid legality”.

In other words, we reward people for killing people, not for adhering to the laws and customs of war. Remember that Hegseth was who brought to Trump’s attention Eddie Gallagher, a convicted war criminal whose own fellow soldiers were sickened by some of his acts in Iraq.

So Hegseth is sending a message by whom he honors. Soldiers who massacre native Americans get medals. Every servicemember knows that Hegseth will stick up for them no matter how egregious their acts - indeed, they might get the message that the more egregious and odious to posterity, the better.

One is tempted to wonder who the future targets of Hegseth’s “maximum lethality” are going to be, and where.

Because those Republicans were obviously dangerously woke, and their mistakes must be corrected forthwith.

Makes one reconsider who really won the Civil War, in the long run.
