Facebook Messenger, primarily, plays the role in the U.S. that WhatsApp plays in much of the rest of the world.

A few years ago, my sister lived in Thailand for several months.
We used WhatsApp when she wanted to talk to my late Mother on the phone. No international charges.
A couple of things about this:

Zelenskyy said he’d wear a “costume” later - I suspect this was due to the word for “suit” in Ukrainian being “kostum” but, inadvertent or not, I thought it made the point well.

Same word in Russian Костюм (kostyum) so that is how I understood it. I can’t recall if Trump said any more about Zelensk’s outfit (besides the sarcastic “He’s all dressed up”) yet the guy you mentioned and perhaps Vance did. I’m surprised neither said if he meant the English “costume” like he was going to be wearing a clown outfit later on.
Incidentally, the word for “theater” (as in a play) in Russian is Спектакль (spektákl) and my wife is out so I had to look up “Political theater” in Russian: Политический театр (politícheskiy teátr). It would probably be similar (with a more regular “I” at the end) in Ukrainian.
ETA: Yep: Політичний театр (politychnyy teatr) so would be pronounced closely enough to the russian.
I liked Zelensky’s 3-button shirt - it looked different that the green almost t-shirt he usually wears. I knew he’d take some “disrespectful” remarks even after Trumps. If Churchill’s outfit is remembered, I would bet a few KCIII 50p coins (only money with him on it thus far) that Churchill took exactly zero shit over it.
That range is about to be the whole country.
Kids with the wrong skin color or last name in any state can soon get pulled off a bus and sent to a detention center if they don’t have proof of citizenship on hand. I can only assume checkpoints will be set up in front of schools to ensure maximum capture.

Since the Russians are the good boys now there is no need to investigate or hinder any cyber-crime, cyber-war, or cyber-sabotage they may have been engaging in anymore. As a matter of fact, I order all federal agencies that do to stop immediately:
