The Trump Administration: The Clusterfuck Continues

His strategy, if you can call it that, is to keep everybody hopping, jumping, worrying, and most of all talking about him. And it’s been working for almost 10 years. Following through and being consistent is for suckers and losers. IOW being a grownup is for suckers and losers.

Trump doesn’t understand why Japan has such a small military and the US provides for their defense.

France is the only one he’ll “mention” as per NATO. “A couple of others”

The stupidity and ignorance between Trump and Vance is mind-boggling, even knowing Trump 45.

WTF is his point here? Biden decimated our Navy and the U-fucking-SA might have to “call up” another country for help?

Japan by several treaties - perhaps some unfair - cannot have the Navy or Army you are suggesting they have, Felon47.

Trump has already told Taiwan they should only “call up” if they have the cash to pay for the US Navy to take on China. Got a price on that, dickhead? “You know that” - who is he talking to, the dumbasses of the world or is this yet another of his “not many people know this” things.

“But we have to protect Japan, but under no circumstances do they have to protect us”

Hopefully the Japanese press are calling him dumbass - and they have a way with idioms that will befit this shithead.

Go back to sham elections in Greenland. Call up France and see what they think when you throw sovereignty out the window and annex it.

Sounds like a Godfather-style protection racket. That is, extortion. “Nice candy shop you’ve got. Be a shame if anything happened to it.” Replace “candy shop” with “country,” and we might as well start calling him “Don Donald.”

Another from today; Trump wanted the ORIGINAL Declaration of Independence - y’know, a 250-year-old piece of animal hide that has to be kept in a light and humidity and temperature controlled environment so it doesn’t fall apart - hanging on his office wall like a poster.

No word on whether he expects to find a treasure map on the back.

It’s even worse than that.

Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution (日本国憲法第9条, Nihon koku kenpō dai kyū-jō) is a clause in the Constitution of Japan outlawing war as a means to settle international disputes involving the state

That would be the constitution that the US made Japan adopt after WWII. Once again, Trump displays his utter ignorance.

.

Per Article 9 of Japan’s constitution, Japan cannot have a military. They handwave it a little bit and call what they have a self-defense force, akin to police or coast guard, a coast guard with sea, air, and land elements even though they also have an actual coast guard.

Japan permits the United States and the United Nations to have bases on their territory. That’s a strategic advantage for both the US and the UN.

This simply has to be something refused.

I don’t care if he knows "When in the course of human events… or even his likely boasts that he’d have signed his name “bigger than Hancock” or if he knows that the War for Independence had been going on for more than a year before this document was signed or which of his favourite Kings it was sent to (or even that it was meant to be sent to a King)

Just show him Trumbull’s painting (also on the back of the $2 bill) and how disrespectful and inappropriate the dress of the founders was.

Which is something that Trump has never understood. He likes to talk tough about American power, and how he could come down on just about any country in the world if he wanted to, but he doesn’t realize how much of that ability rests on having bases all over the world. If he had to launch attacks only from the continental US, even the US military would have problems being the dominant world power. Even things like B52s flying thousands of miles to bomb places relies on in-flight refueling, and those tanker planes need places to land.

And in other news, the US government officially declares:

Enola Gay

You should have stayed at home yesterday
Ah-ha, words can’t describe
The feeling and the way you lied
These games you play
They’re gonna end in more than tears some day
Ah-ha, Enola Gay
It shouldn’t ever have to end this way

That site doesn’t like my ad blocker. Can you summarize?

Ah, thank you. As far as I know, Paul Tibbets named the aircraft after his mother, Enola Gay Tibbets. Nothing to do with gender or sexuality.

As this merry band of bozos so often demonstrates, they know nothing about the United States’ history.

Thanks again.

“Sir, we’ve just received an email from someone who calls himself Thomas Jefferson!”

A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Indeed. “Gay” was a perfectly cromulent woman’s name, up until the 1960s, when it became widely used as a term for homosexuals.

I did the research you requested, Mister Sir Honorable Secretary of Defense!

There is one more plane that must be erased from the history books.

"Queer John*

  • Aircraft Type: Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress
  • Notability: A B-17 bomber used by the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.
  • Name Origin: Likely a crew-chosen nickname, as was common for many bombers in WWII.

Please, sir, report this to His highness Musk as a great thing I did this week?

ETA: Your greatness Hegseth: I have found another aircraft-type that must be erased from books and memory. It was actually a term coined by the now-defunct NATO yet it hurts me deeply, as I’m sure you and Tsar Musk will agree:

Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 “Fagot”

  • Aircraft Type: Soviet jet fighter
  • NATO Reporting Name: “Fagot”
  • Notability: One of the most famous Soviet fighter jets of the early Cold War, used extensively in the Korean War.
  • Name Origin: This was part of NATO’s phonetic naming system for Soviet aircraft. The term “Fagot” (a variation of “faggot”) was a neutral word at the time, referring to a bundle of sticks or a type of musical instrument (bassoon).

I’ve seen the original-- the ink is so faded it’s barely legible. Because it hung on a wall exposed to direct light for years.

If trump saw it he wouldn’t want it in his office-- he’d probably say “what the hell happened to this? It looks like shit!” But I’m sure he never bothered to visit the National Archive building to look at it.

It really feels like it’s @Enola_Straight 's time to shine.

I want to hear what happens what happens when he gets to the “purfuit of happineff” part.

All the better for him to sign his infantile scribble of a signature over the names of all those dead losers.
