Donald Trump launches wave of air strikes on Yemen's Houthis
The US president cites the armed group's recent attacks in the Red Sea as justification.
And immediately after that, the Firxt Felon will confuse it with J6.
To draw attention away from his disastrous economic moves, he’s now started bombing the shit out of Yemen’s Houthi strongholds. What happened to putting a stop to wars? Sorry el Bloat-o, people are more concerned about how much their next bag of groceries is going to cost. Meanwhile, you’re burning up hundreds of millions on air strikes that are likely to be ineffective.
Better than sending that money to poor people or using it for aid to countries full of non-whites.
I’m sure that’s genuinely how they feel; killing people is virtuous, helping people is evil. Especially if they are poor or non-white.
Pretty sure keeping people (including us in the US) sicker, dumber and poorer is their way of trying to gain control.
And morally virtuous. Suffering is good for you (if you aren’t them), and ignorance & stupidity are virtues to them. In their ideal world the average person knows nothing, never thinks, and is in constant misery.
I recently listened to Paul Simon’s song American Tune and the lyrics made me cry just a bit.
Especially the lyrics that talk about how we lived so well for so long and that we can’t be forever blessed.
I am just thankful that my immediate family are safely deceased and hope I soon follow.
Two of my deceased family members (my parents) voted for this disaster the first time around. They died before they could vote for it again, which they absolutely would have done.
So sorry to hear that.
My mother died in 1985 when times were relatively sane. At least they were when viewed from the current perspective.
My father died in 2010 and my son in 2008.
So they were long gone before the current toxicity flourished.
My parents were both Democrats so I imagine they would have been appalled at the situation we are in but I can’t say for certain how they would have voted. People are unpredictable.
I just kind of hate being the last one standing in this muck lol.
Meanwhile, you’re burning up hundreds of millions on air strikes that are likely to be ineffective.
Typical Trumpian bullying. Shove someone who can’t defend themselves, claim victory, and he’ll spend the rest of his term talking about how he singlehandedly saved global trade while high seas piracy continues unabated.

I was born 5 days before the JFK assassination and 10 years later during watergate I remember my grandfather reading the newspaper and musing “I don’t know what this world is coming to?” Little did he know.

What are we fighting for. Don’t ask me I don’t give a damn. Next stop is Viet - nam
The US president cites the armed group's recent attacks in the Red Sea as justification.
Did he / will be bother to notify congress under the “War Powers Act” which I just said in the “Avatars” thread he will inevitably defy.
This is just his precedence for “I can bomb whoever I want”
One of President Donald Trump’s first actions upon entering the White House was to order federal employees to return to the office.
The government workforce, he has repeatedly contended, could not be productive from home.
“I happen to be a believer that you have to go to work. I don’t think you can work from home,” Trump said on Feb. 11. “Nobody’s going to work from home, they’re going to be going out, they’re going to play tennis, they’re going to play golf. They’re going to do a lot of things. They’re not working.”
Three days later, Trump traveled to his sprawling Mar-a-Lago mansion in Palm Beach, where he remained for parts of six consecutive days, according to an NBC News tracker. On one of the days, Trump signed two executive orders and a memorandum. He also held an impromptu press conference.
In other words, he worked from home.
Further along in the article, there’s this great summation of the mis/maladministration:
“It’s clear and should be to the rest of Americans that it’s never about ‘the rule,’ it’s about who’s making the rules,” said a federal employee with the Department of Education who is also a disabled veteran. “This all fits in so perfectly to the power dynamics installed by this administration — a dynamic where Trump does what he wants, to who he wants, without repercussions.”
A federal judge on Saturday temporarily blocked an effort by President Donald Trump to use the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport suspected members of a Venezuelan gang he has accused of “unlawfully infiltrating” the country. He also ordered any deportation flights carrying those subject to the presidential proclamation to return to the United States.
What do you know? There’s a flaw in the Firxt Felon’s plan regarding education!
Trump has repeatedly argued the department should be terminated, a long-held priority in Republican circles since Congress created it in 1979. The hitch is that presidents can’t single-handedly abolish departments that lawmakers created by statute, according to experts. The same goes for many of its programs, such as Title I for children living in poverty and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The Trump administration is considering issuing sweeping travel restrictions for the citizens of dozens of countries as part of a new ban, according to sources familiar with the matter and an internal memo seen by Reuters.
The memo lists a total of 41 countries divided into three separate groups. The first group of 10 countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Cuba and North Korea among others, would be set for a full visa suspension.
In the second group, five countries – Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar and South Sudan – would face partial suspensions that would impact tourist and student visas as well as other immigrant visas, with some exceptions.
In the third group, a total of 26 countries that includes Belarus, Pakistan and Turkmenistan among others would be considered for a partial suspension of U.S. visa issuance if their governments “do not make efforts to address deficiencies within 60 days”, the memo said.
This is yet another stunt which will not age well. (Just like the stunt-er.) Any judge this comes in front of will simply point to his own words during the first felonial era which contradicted his lawyers’ assertions to the court and the current felonial era in which his own words–you saw this coming, didn’t you?–contradicted his lawyers’ assertions to the court.
In a Truth Social post on Sunday, President Donald Trump shared an article with a promo image depicting a symbol previously used by Nazis to identify gay men during the Holocaust.
The opinion article published in The Washington Times titled, “Army recruitment ads look quite different under Trump,” shows an illustrated television as the leading image. In the middle of the TV is an upside-down pink triangle crossed out by a red “no” symbol.
I debated putting this in another thread, but given we’re in the 2nd Felonial Era which, of course, is marked by doublespeak, a teacher in Idaho is being punished because “reasons”.
An Idaho teacher is in a standoff with her own school district after officials ordered her to remove classroom signs, including one that reads, “Everyone is welcome here.”
So, what’s the problem with that message? If you’re standing, sit down. If you’re sitting down, lay on the floor. If you’re on the floor, you’re screwed.
Inama says the principal cited district policy that classrooms must respect the rights of people to express differing opinions and that decorations are to be “content-neutral.”
So, she didn’t put up an accompanying sign saying nobody’s welcome. The school said she’s violating a policy.
The policy says that banners in the classroom must be “content-neutral and conducive to a positive learning enviornment.”
Right. Telling everyone they’re welcome in the classroom is not conducive to a positive learning environment. But, hey, I think I’m agreeing with the school administration on one thing. Not everyone is welcome in that classroom. The unwelcome person is a good teacher.
If you guys need some perspective, Harris went on stage with family of the original dark lord.
Somebody who actually manufactured a war, killing hundreds of thousands to make a buck. The administration that worked for him made torture official US policy, they “legalized” kidnapping. (Made up fancy words for that shit “extraordinary rendition”)
Compared to the actual killers and torturers of the administrations of Bush the lesser, Trumps cronies are positively harmless.
Trumps cronies are positively harmless.
Try again.
(Edited to truncate unnecessary snark. Apologies, still processing my coffee.)
I somewhat agree with you. But I do think there is a moral difference between deaths through indifference/incompetence and actually shooting them.
I personally hold Trump responsible for the deaths of millions of Americans due to his promoting covid misinformation, denialism, and quack remedies instead of just telling people to stay home and wear masks.
deaths through indifference/incompetence
If that’s all it were, you might have an argument, however flimsy. But these withdrawals of foreign aid are not about neglect and ignorance. This is conscious cruelty and racism: let those worthless poor brown people rot.
Edit to add: Needless to say, of course, it’s also a spectacular level of ignorance. The money given away in USAid and similar programs does, ultimately, have a self-serving purpose: we should keep those people healthy at home so they don’t come to the US. But even that kind of two-step semi-sophisticated thinking is beyond this shower of nasty-minded idiots.

They are also a punishment of the American populace to for hurting Trump’s feelings. Someone goes against his dictates and they deserve nothing other than the most extreme response. And now that he’s in the Oval Office yet again and sadly, he has the ability to exact that.
Donald Trump launches wave of air strikes on Yemen’s Houthis
Don’t forget that the “world was on fire” under Biden. Glad Trump’s calmed things down with friend and foe alike the world over.
