A new policy requires kicking out people with a particular skin condition. Now, that skin condition is not “having Black skin”, but it might as well be.

A new Marine Corps policy says troops with a genetic skin condition that can cause pain and scarring from shaving and mainly affects Black men can be separated if the health issue persists.

The “interim guidance” issued Thursday gives military health care providers 90 days to reevaluate Marines diagnosed with pseudofolliculitis barbae, or PFB. If they don’t recover based on a four-phase treatment program outlined in the message, have to remain on a shaving waiver for more than a year, and a commander deems it fit, the Corps can administratively separate them “due to incompatibility with service,” according to the message.

And if you’re Transgender, you better fess up now or you’re not going to get paid so much for the military disctriminating against you!

Transgender sailors and Marines who want to voluntarily separate before the military starts kicking them out have until March 28 to come forward, according to a Navy policy announced Thursday evening.

The policy, which was released to the fleet as a NAVADMIN after being filed in court by administration officials defending the ban against a lawsuit, is in line with the Defense Department-wide policy released last month that said service members who choose to separate would be eligible for separation pay that is twice as much as they would receive if they later get kicked out.

“An individual’s sex is immutable, unchanging during a person’s life,” the Navy policy says. “After 28 March 2025, the [Department of the Navy] will initiate involuntary administrative separation for these personnel and others who are disqualified for military service.”

The Trump administration plans to upend and cripple the Social Security claims process, according to a memo obtained by Popular Information.

An internal Social Security Administration memo, sent on March 13, outlines changes to the agency that would cause processing delays and prevent Americans from applying for as well as receiving benefits, ostensibly to reduce “fraud risks” according to its author, acting Deputy Commissioner Doris Diaz.

The changes include requiring that people seeking benefits provide proof of identity over the internet for benefit claims made over the phone. If someone is “unable to utilize the internet ID proofing, customers will be required to visit a field office to provide in-person identity documentation.”

And what’s the problem with the current system? (The bolding below is mine.)

Right now, Social Security claims and identity verification can be done over the phone thanks to staffers answering calls on its toll-free number. Actual fraud is rare, because people have to provide multiple pieces of personal information, checked against medical records, bank statements, pay stubs, and tax returns, depending on the type of claim.

Beyond that, if there are any discrepancies, an applicant might have to mail their birth certificate to the agency. This entire process allows people who are elderly or disabled, and thus have difficulty accessing the internet or visiting a physical office, to apply for and collect Social Security benefits.

Current USIP employees said staffers from Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency entered the building despite protests that the institute is not part of the executive branch. USIP called the police, whose vehicles were outside the building Monday evening.

USIP is a congressionally funded independent nonprofit that works to advance U.S. values in conflict resolution, ending wars and promoting good governance.

Moose vowed legal action, saying that “what has happened here today is an illegal takeover by elements of the executive branch of a private nonprofit.”

I wonder if they’re going to verify that the voluntary separators are actually trans. If not, i.e. they just take the person’s word for it, there’ll be a certain number of non-trans people taking this offer. There’s always some people who’ve joined the service and decided that was a mistake. Getting twice the separation pay would sound like a good deal, especially since, if they just wait for their enlistment to be up, they wouldn’t get any separation pay.
