So apparently the SSA is going to exclusively use Twitter (I am not calling it X) for its official announcements.
But how can this be legal? Beyond the obvious graft, it’s forcing people to have access to a service not all will have. Never mind that I don’t use Twitter because I think social media is dumb, but I don’t want to even think about trying to get my 82 year old father (who is on SS) to use it.
It seems to me that requiring one particular form of communication, that has costs and equipment requirements associated with it can’t be allowed, can it?
(And yeah, obviously an effort to prop up Twitter)

I’ve been appalled (but not surprised) by the short-sighted wishful thinking of some politicians and media basically saying “If we suck up to Trump, maybe we’ll get lower tariffs than other places, and then everyone will build factories here, and there’ll be flowers and lollipops and…”
Yeah that all makes sense.

- The tariff situation is changing on a daily basis
- MAGA has held the UK, along with the rest of europe, in utter contempt, privately and publicly
- Even American leaders with a brain, led the UK on, with promises of a trade deal…the “special relationship” is bullshit
- Trump has shown repeatedly, that his word is his ass, and his contracts may as well be signed with disappearing ink on used toilet paper.
Is that a recent picture. I try not to ever look at him, whether he is stationary or in motion, but I understood that he was actually losing weight. Some were noting that sudden weight loss can be a harbinger of dire health problems. (I know, don’t tease, amirite?).
