He has Twitter and Bluesky accounts to which he posts live clips of Trump and his cronies. Good source for finding out what inanities they’re blithering on about these days without the media’s attempts to sanewash and both-sides it. He gets all his clips directly from live TV, so you can be assured it isn’t old or AI-generated.
He also occasionally comments on sports and wrestling.
Let’s be clear here. These people entered the country legally, obtained SSANs legally, and are now without a proper visa because this administration canceled their visas. And now they’re going to punish them for not having a proper visa.
Mork called something a Catch 44 because it was like a Cach 22 but twice as bad. Now we’re exponentially beyond even that.
Remember 15 years ago when whiny restaurant owners were putting an “Obamacare tax” on receipts because they were offended by the notion of making sure their employees are healthy enough to work?
This is problematic for a few reasons. First off, of course this is to circumvent the law prohibiting using the military for domestic law enforcement. It’s also a way to turn the actual non-violent misdemeanor of entering the country without inspection into a felony.
Next, while the strip of land is already federal property, that does not make it a military installation. AFAIK, creating a military base by his lonesome is not something the president has the authority to do.
And where’s DOGE in all this? Aren’t they supposed to be making governmental actions more efficient; aren’t they supposed to be cutting costs? From the first link:
That’s a bit of, dare I say it, overkill, don’t you think?
Meanwhile, someone has apparently managed to hack Homeland Security’s email servers and sent out a bunch of fake deportation notices to American citizens.
No shit. The dog kennel (resort really) that we take our dogs to when we are on vacation posts daily photos of all the dogs playing. On facebook… I don’t do facebook, I had an account, and for some crazy reason that they will not tell me, I was banned. I NEVER USED IT, the only reason I had an account was to see what all the bruhaha was about.
I tried to get the ban lifted so I could see my dogs, but they would not, nor would they tell me why I was banned. Probably due to zero activity, or did someone hi-jack my account? I haven’t a clue.
Aggravates me that the ‘kennel’ doesn’t use a different way to see pictures of my pups, but at least it’s not the freaking SSA
Electronics imported to the United States will be exempt from President Donald Trump’s reciprocal tariffs, according to a US Customs and Border Protection notice posted late Friday.
Smartphones, computer monitors and various electronic parts are among the exempted products. The exemption applies to products entering the United States or removed from warehouses as early as April 5, according to the notice.
The move comes after the Trump administration imposed a minimum tariff rate of 145% on Chinese goods imported to the United States. The tariffs would have a major impact on tech giants like Apple, which make iPhones and other products in China.
I just saw Stephanie Ruhle on Velshi (MSNBC) say something like ~“So we’re going to impose 145% tariffs on everything we buy from China except the things we actually buy from China?”
I think that is a little misleading. The US buys more than just electronic-related products from China. For example, doesn’t China make Trump’s red MAGA hats and other MAGA and America First memorabilia?
I believe I read that official MAGA hats sold by Trump are made in the U.S.A.; but there’s a lot more unofficial MAGA products that are made in China. My WAG is that most Trump supporters buy whatever’s cheapest or most convenient, rather than buying the official products.
