The Trump Administration: The Clusterfuck Continues

For the last 14 years, when it rains in Lowndes County, Alabama, contaminated standing water builds up around Annye Burke’s home. When the septic tank breaks down, raw sewage backs up into her toilet, she said. …

The Biden administration investigated and allocated nearly $26 million to rebuild Lowndes County’s water infrastructure, with the Department of Justice declaring the majority-Black area was suffering from “environmental racism.”

But earlier this month, President Donald Trump issued an executive order to kill the deal, calling it “illegal DEI.”

So if this was a mostly white neighborhood, the program could continue?

A trump-appointed judge told the convict we are not at war and the felon is not an absolute monarch.

I guess we’re soon going to be calling the Executive Mansion the Red House.

Those photoshopped MS-13 tattoos look real enough. And would Trump have recognized Dan Rather or even Walter Cronkite (assuming he knows who either are) any more than Terry Moran?

Aren’t we still at war with Korea, either the bad (Democratic) or good (Republic). I don’t want to hear “technically” if we need to be at war to grant the President all kinds of monarch powers then the UN is still open for applications for Declarations of Real Wars. China won’t mind. Liberate the North! Deport all the baddies in the USA to El Salvador. Nothing but win here.

Trump to Putin: I understand how Biden messed up the Russian General Winter and you would have taken it all inside a month. Now that the thaw is over, would now be a good time for you to take the rest? (Mind the USA has a “deal” to rape the land of Ukraine for minerals and soil for Trump Gaza golf courses).

Judges keep saying things and this administration ignores them all. We’ll take it to the highest court where “Inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men” are always upheld. It’s in the Bible! (Ezekiel 25 in the Trump Bible)

We knew it was coming, but here’s some confirmation. We get to celebrate the Army’s founding and Trump’s 79th birthday on the same day, with the military parade he was hankering for in his first term:

Further down we find this, more of Trump’s re-naming mania:

“Victory Day for World War II”, huh? I guess all that fighting we did in the Pacific after that didn’t count – the War was already over, the Japanese just didn’t get the memo.

VE day will be “Victory Day for World War II 1” and VJ day will be “Victory Day for World War II 2”

Ignoring that everyone knows that people don’t do tattoos like that, and that actual photos of Kilmar Albrego Garcia’s hand does not show ‘M-S-1-3’ or subtitles, the photo Trump displayed was obviously fake. It didn’t look real at all.

I think this is seen by them as a plus. It’s not sly, it’s brazen. No one thinks it’s real, and no one thinks Trump thinks it’s real. To them, a brazen lie shows power and manliness.

I’d say they don’t care if it is real or not.

We’re in a post-truth era, remember? They want him to behave the same way, regardless of the veracity of the claims. They only require evidence in the fig leaf sense and are clearly pushing back on the need for even that much deference to legality. It’s a minor bonus if any of that evidence happens to pan out, but ultimately, it’s unnecessary to them.

It’s almost guaranteed that the next time we see Kilmar Albrego Garcia’s hands they will have “MS13” tattooed on them . . . that those new tattoos in no way match the ‘’‘’‘tattoos’‘’‘’ in the photo Trump was referring to is not to be noticed.

Forced tattooing? That can’t be legal.

I can’t decide between humorous or horrifying when a President says stuff like “Congo - I don’t even know where that is.” Usually stuff that W said could be walked back, yet you figure out how to say “This President, the most knowledgable ever in geography and geology meant he did not know they changed their name to the “Democratic Republic of the Congo”. Next question? Guy from Newsmax?”

That was my first reaction when I read through the article to figure out why Trump was calling the deal “illegal DEI”.

It appears now that DEI is code for anything that doesn’t affect white males.

The DoJ is now involved in water infrastructure and can issue opinions like “environmental racism” which I couldn’t summarize in ten words or less.

Doesn’t Congress do anything anymore? They should have authorised the funds in a way the fuckhead in Article II cannot just put his crazy signature on and declare Biden stuff “illegal”

Presidents should not have the authority to pass such laws and then have their successors nix them as illegal.

I’m extremely underwhelmed by whatever the fuck Congress is doing and at least what little SCOTUS has done has been right on script. Every fucking day it’s another Executive Order. This is not America.

Remember when the right/conservatives/Republicans complained about governance by presidential EO? They don’t either.

I think this thread is ripe for some premium cartoons, selected for and by the 25th World Press Freedom International Cartoon Competition via Bado’s blog

I hope this improves the mood for a short while. Some of the entries are really good.

Those are all excellent. Thanks for sharing.

No, we’ve never been at war with North Korea or South Korea or any Korea. Yes, the war there hasn’t officially ended, but we were fighting under the auspices of the UN. The last time the US actually declared war was in June 1942, when Congress declared war on three of Gemany’s allies (Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria, if memory serves).

Think of how exciting that will be.

Yeah, “Police Action”

Team America: World Police

I don’t know China’s position on ending this non-shooting conflict. Surely the richer Worst Korea would have to absorb the debts and problems of Best Korea, yet it’s been done (uniting Germany) and though China likely had no probs with (Germany) it in the UN, the still-extant Soviet Union may or may not have some words. One result was the KGB spy In East Germany, Vladimir Putin became an ex-spy.

I read that lower court Judges ruling as "As we are not in a state of War, the War Powers Act and use of it (deporting, violating rights in the name of, etc) as a raison d’être is totally unconstitutional. I no longer know if that equates to “illegal” yet take it to SCOTUS and right off you have four on this fucker’s side.

Who the hell looks at that guy and doesn’t think “Yeah, that guy’s a fucking villain?”
