The Trump Administration: The Clusterfuck Continues

I thought the moniker was Dirty Diaper Don.

Disagree. He’ll just declare himself white.

It does seem kind of homoerotic at times. Normally I wouldn’t judge, but when the party of anti-LGBTQ seems homoerotic, well…

As long as they vote the “right” way.

How about Darth Diaper?

The thing is, it shouldn’t matter. If you were testing, say, a potential hire for airline pilot on questions of basic plane operation and safety, and they kept giving wrong answers, you wouldn’t give a flying shit whether they didn’t know, once knew the answer and forgot, or whether they were trolling you. You’d quickly show them the door.

How long until he demands Hollywood cater to his likes?

Oh, and which of the iDJiT’s enablers profited?

He’s still making money and suffering no consequences, so…..

What is actually true or not is irrelevant to Trump it doesn’t even enter his mind. All that matters is how it sounds. So saying whether or not he knows a fact misses the point. He knows that saying he won’t obey the constitution sounds bad. He also knows that people are using the constitution as a reason to stop him from doing what he wants so he can’t come out in favor of it. So he’ll punt and leave it to one of his flunkies to explain why the constitution doesn’t stop him from doing what he wants.

He’s already trying to make inroads on changing Hollywood, though not quite at Kim Jong Un levels (yet). Full title of below link:

Trump Names Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson and Jon Voight as ‘Special Ambassadors’ to ‘Troubled’ Hollywood: They’ll Bring ‘Lost Business’ Back

The point is to wound and weaken the media companies as a reminder of who’s boss.

He paused, and for a moment assumed again his air of a schoolmaster questioning a promising pupil: ‘How does one man assert his power over another, Winston?’

Winston thought. ‘By making him suffer,’ he said.

‘Exactly. By making him suffer. Obedience is not enough. Unless he is suffering, how can you be sure that he is obeying your will and not his own? Power is in inflicting pain and humiliation.’

The idea is to go around various economic sectors and remind each of them that the regime has means to cause them losses, by simply causing them losses for no good reason and daring them to say anything about it. The regime has found out to some mild surprise that sovereign states won’t just postrate themselves before us because we growled at them, so they revert to vandalizing markets and business sectors so they can financially hurt anyone who could imagine they were wealthy or stable enough to resist, and indirectly hurt the customers and employees thereof and the states whose economies they’re part of.

Darth Voider.

This… is both perfect and horribly accurate.

Dark Lord of the Sith Shit.

I agree with you. My point was that the people reacting to his words as if they were true at this point are behaving foolishly. Any given statement might be true, but probably isn’t.

This morning, all sorts of people are panicking about his proposed film tariffs as if they were even possible. They’re not. Right not, though, his flunkies are going to find a way to make his off-the-cuff stupid statement into a way to harm the film industry, anyway.

I wasn’t disagreeing with or taking exception to what you said, just expressing frustration in general that we’re even in this situation, wherein we have to try to divine what exactly our POTUS means when he says one stupid, ignorant or just plain batshit crazy thing after another. So I was really agreeing with you; I just didn’t express myself very well. My apologies.

I got a new idea for a trump era Hollywood movie.

Made in America, all white cast, no women…

It’s a zombie-type film, except instead of undead skin and rotting corpses, all the zombies are MAGA. They seem perfectly normal to look at, but they all gang up and attack the non-MAGA.

The film is nothing except imaginative ways top kill the zombies. Like Zombieland meets Deathrace 2000. And if you do it subtly, the MAGA audience won’t realize.

But what about all the Trump supporters in economically depressed corners of America who are clamoring to have prisons built in their areas, like the county next door to me? Why would he give those plum super-prison jobs to (gasp!) San Francisco?

Of course, most of us know that prisons are a particularly shitty form of economic development, and that they’re not exactly a growth industry given the generally declining crime rates (no matter what Trump says) and the decriminalization of cannabis. But none of that matters to the MAGA-types, who may find themselves briefly conflicted before falling back in line.

‘No Jews.’
~ Mel Gibson - Special Ambassador to Troubled Hollywood

It was about this time that someone came up with the idea of TOTAL CRIMINALIZATION, based on the principle that if we were ALL crooks we could at last be uniform to some degree in the eyes of THE LAW.
Shrewdly our legislators calculated that most people were too lazy to perform a REAL CRIME, so new laws were manufactured, making it possible for anyone to violate them any time of the day or night, and once we had all broken some kind of law, we’d all be in the same big happy club, right up there with the President, the most exalted industrialists, and the clerical big shots of all your favorite religions.
TOTAL CRIMINALIZATION was the greatest idea of its time and was vastly popular, except with those people who didn’t want to be crooks or outlaws, so, of course, they had to be TRICKED INTO IT… which is one of the reasons why MUSIC was eventually made ILLEGAL.

So, art imitating life then?
