ICE has imprisoned a Danish father of four due to a “paperwork miscommunication,” his American wife said.

Kasper Juul Eriksen, a 32-year-old welder legally in the country with a fifth child on the way, was detained by ICE during a citizenship appointment on April 15 because of a decade-old “paperwork miscommunication,” his wife said.

Savanah Eriksen said they were blindsided when they arrived in Memphis, Tennessee, at what they believed would be a routine interview in the “final stage of obtaining his permanent American citizenship.”

After driving three hours north from their home in Sturgis, Mississippi, Savannah said her husband was confronted by ICE agents who took him into custody and explained there was a paperwork error dating back to 2015. He was then taken to an ICE detention facility in rural Jena, Louisiana, where he remains today.

For what it’s worth, this guy and his family were huge anti-vax MAGAts, and the face-eating leopards are feasting on this one. Although none of the stories have clarified the 2015 paperwork error, the speculations are running towards visa fraud.

In the clip I saw, I thought the SA president got in some shade by saying he was sorry he didn’t have a plane to give Trump. It was too subtle for Trump, who took it literally.

This isn’t Trump’s doing, at least not directly. It’s Kristi Noem:

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem personally sent a letter to the university, which read in part, “I am writing to inform you that effective immediately, Harvard University’s Student and Exchange Visitor Program certification is revoked.”

This development is extraordinary, but it does not out of the blue: In mid-April, while canceling nearly $3 million in DHS grants to Harvard, Noem simultaneously demanded that the university turn over records on foreign students alleged to have engaged in “illegal and violent activities.” Failure to cooperate would jeopardize Harvard’s Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) certification — which allows schools to admit international students.

Evidently, Noem has now followed through on that threat.
