The Trump Administration: The Clusterfuck Continues

Here you go.

The run-up to China’s parade to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II was actually pretty cool, too, for those of us living in Beijing. The soldiers involved rehearsed and the population didn’t get in the way of the practices. My point is China’s parade was planned well, rehearsed, and was not hijacked. The result was a rather impressive performance.

I’m rather busy today, so I don’t know if I can give a run-down on the news of felon47 and his co-conspirators today. I will give you this nugget to gnaw on, though.

The troops the felon federalized and activated aren’t getting paid yet.

The article goes onto say they’ll get the proper backpay later, but that’s not a great deal of help now.

But…but…I’ve seen posts on social media that assured me that corporations like Oracle, Lockheed Martin, Coinbase, and many others paid for it all so taxpayers wouldn’t have to. And these corporations surely were just being patriotic and wouldn’t expect anything in return, right?

Actually, this made me think about Trump auctioning off corporate sponsorship of federal monuments and buildings like they do for athletic stadiums and arenas.

The Washington Monument–now brought to you by Amazon!
The PragerU Smithsonian
And, since irony no longer applies to this admin, gun companies can sponsor the Smith & Wesson Lincoln Memorial and the Ruger Eternal Flame in Arlington Cemetary (or maybe the Eternal Flame can be sponsored by Bic?).

YES! That’s the one!

Today I learned the National Anthem of the United States of America is, in fact, a bilingual song, and has been since 1945. I learned this fact from a protest agains the felon and his co-conspirators. (The bolding is mine.)

The felon has decided to prioritize.

The felon gutted the office that works on preventing targeted violence.

The fraud’s appointee is also a fraud? Say it ain’t so!

Turns out I did have some time for this. I forgot it’s Sunday back in Felonia, I mean the US so it must be a slow news day. Kind of like that slow march over the weekend.

The pretzel logic of his latest “truth” has got Trump so confused he doesn’t know which way is up. Even moreso than usual. His donors are screaming at him to stop taking their workers but his fans are out for blood. So, of course, we get this, which solves nothing.

Which is it dumbass? Inner Cities or the Heartland? You can’t have your cake and eat it, too. You have to decide which group to piss off. Hope it makes your brain hurt.

Wait a moment. Why is Canada letting him into the country? He’s a convicted felon. Evidently, someone at the Toronto Star discusses that very question.

Now I’m confused. I thought that all the illegals were in Texas and Florida and that that was why they needed to be herded on jets to send them up to the blue states as punishment for the liberals who live there. Is Trump trying to undo all of Abbot’s hard work?

See? This is what happens when you don’t know how to play multi-dimensional chess. The horse apple stable genius has a plan that’s far too strategic and tactical for the likes of you and me.

You are correct that Abbot sent the people he calls “illegals” to the blue states. But you don’t realize which “illegals” he sent there. Those working on farms were out there in the fields slaving away. Those working in hotels and motels were doing the dirty work there. What I’m getting at is they were employed to make the lives of his donors America great again.

It’s those no goodnicks who entered the country legally and went to school and worked in technical fields that you have to worry about.

What’s that? Those aren’t the ones who were put on the buses? Fuck.

Sorry about the multi-post. This latest report calls for a close examination and excoriating commentary.

At one level, I suppose that could just about almost be justifiable. But let’s look at exactly what the felon said about his rationale for this move.

He’s hitting all the Big Bigot Bullshit points.

“Use illegal aliens to expand voter base”? That’s a twofer. First off, aliens, undocumented or otherwise, cannot vote. Second, if those undocumented aliens happen to have a child in the United States, that child is, in fact and according to the constitution, a citizen of the United States.

“Robbing good paying jobs”? Check. That’s a nonsense assertion. The migrants are not competeing with American citizens for good paying jobs. The migrants are, in fact, doing the 3D (dirty, dangerous, demanding) and I might add very low paying jobs which American citizens won’t even consider doing.

“Robbing benefits”? Check. By the way, what benefits are these undocumented migrants stealing? It’s certainly not Social Security. It’s not any number of other government financial assistance either because for the vast majority of those programs one must be legally in the United States or be a US citizen.

“Hate our country”? Check. Yet it is he who instigated an attack on the seat of one branch of our government. It is he who vowed to be a dictator. It is he who constantly, nay, continuously violates the constitution and other American laws.

“There is something wrong with them.” Check. An accufession.

It’s a threefer, actually; the idea that the Democrats are letting in illegal immigrants to vote for them is a longstanding right wing conspiracy theory. So he’s pandering to the conspiracy crowd with that on top of everything else.

@Der_Trihs You are correct. It drives me around the bend when those magaflatearthers go on about anchor babies. Minors cannot sponsor someone into the country. So that’s some mighty poor prior planning when the pay-off is more than 20 years in the future and there’s nothing but heartache and abusive hard work in the meantime.

Not at all – technically, bullshit is a substance…

Variety had a bit about that Was Trump Being Trolled With Creedence’s ‘Fortunate Son’ at Parade?
“The keepers of the parade doubled down on “Fortunate Son” as part of Saturday’s festivities. First, it was heard in an instrumental version as the soldiers marched, and later, a vocal rendition was heard coming from the stage in video shot at the landing spot for the event.” and “But as for why Trump’s circle would deliberately want to use even a cover version of a song that virtually shouts, “Hey, remember a long time ago when there were people saying the president was a privileged chicken? Can we start that up again?”…”

Honestly, if I were Fogerty I’d want it played by Trump at every opportunity for exactly that reason (albeit with royalties duly paid).

The Albert Bridge still has a sign on it. The nearby Chelsea Barracks closed in 2008, but I couldn’t tell you when troops actually last marched over it.

“More than 5 million” would be roughly 1.5% of the US population.

And for every person at the demonstrations, I would WAG that there was at least one who, for fear of ICE or other reasons — I had recent back surgery and can’t stand for any length of time — steered clear. I don’t know whether that makes the 3.5% which theoretically dooms a regime (according to posts on these threads), but it probably comes close.

The 3.5% rule of thumb applies to sustained opposition, which cuts both ways (on the one hand, people might show up for a protest and then settle back into apathy; on the other hand, people who don’t/can’t show up for a protest might undermine the regime in many other ways).

:check_mark: Sick of mind (sick IN mind?)

:check_mark: Hate our country

:check_mark: Want to destroy inner cities

Yup, that’s describes the regime pretty well.

This new “strategy” of focusing his Lidless Eye on Democratic cities seems to be a reaction to his other pivot, away from agriculture and hospitality. Somebody must have pointed out that if he’s not rounding up lettuce pickers and hotel maids, where is he going to get the massive numbers he promised? Uh…Chicago?

Behind a paywall: can you give the gist? (If it’s other than “too powerful for rules to apply to him.”)
