I suspect not. I mean, that’s literally the first and usually last thing I hear people say about him; how disgusting they think he is. That’s how I have him mentally filed; “He’s that politician that literally everybody seems to think is disgusting.”
“If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you” — Lindsey Graham
Judges?
Here’s the thing you have to understand about Ted Cruz: I like Ted Cruz more than most of my other colleagues like Ted Cruz. And I hate Ted Cruz.
–Former Senator Al Franken
DING! DING! DING!!
Huh, that’s odd because I just read a comment of Facebook that Trump is the only President never to have had the US in a war.
The commentor admits the situation with Iran isn’t ideal, but if you think Biden was a more competent President than Trump, you need immediate medical attention.
That was your first mistake.
I enjoyed that very much, even though I hate that Carlson is right.
I have no doubt that toppling the regime in Iran will create yet another ME civil war and a breeding ground for groups like ISIS.
Do we never learn?
Well, it does provide insight into what the MAGAs think.
For example, there are people out there that think Trump is always the smartest person in any room, a 4-D political chess grandmaster, a business genius, the greatest US president in history, the only president that has truly cared about the “little guy”, so rich he can’t be corrupted or bought–unlike every other former president, only cares about what’s best for the country and not himself.
It’s like looking into a different reality. Trump wants to create a different reality in this country and I don’t think the average MAGA is going to like it.
Ever hear of a guy named Donald Trump?
Speaking of Trump, is that interview why Trump tweeted “Somebody please explain to kooky Tucker Carlson that IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!”?
The picture used to illustrate this article is hilariously weird. It’s been color “corrected”, and it ends up making trump look like an Oompa Loompa.
It’s now trump’s TACO and Waffle House.
I’m pretty sure we don’t. And by “we” I mean humans.
Home of the Waffle Taco, or “Wacco”.
We’ll have a Waffle Taco truck on every corner.
To a two-year old with a hammer…
On the one hand, I’m happy to see infighting and dissent between Trump and his lackeys. If he cans Tulsi, it would in theory make the country less safe and so would be a bad thing, but I’d still applaud.
Is that available to watch without clicking on Twitter?
I can watch the video on my post without leaving the board. I don’t know why you see just a link. Can’t help you there.
Here’s part of it on youtube . Tucker almost looks like a journalist.
I mean… would it, though? Is there evidence that she has ever done anything that’s made the country more safe?
Well, if she’s not evil enough for Trump, whoever he nominates next is bound to be worse!
(Didn’t want to make a new thread)
I was on hold with Fidelity (UK - USA) and they mentioned something about Thursday being something like a holiday. At first I was like, “Oh, July 4th” yet then I saw that’s a Friday and had to ask.
Happy Juneteenth!
Kind of a manufactured holiday - on this date slaves in Galveston, Texas were freed on June 19th 1865 due to the Emancipation Proclamation which Abe had declared on January 1, 1863 (during the Civil War). Yet it took Congress to pass the 13th Amendment on April 8, 1864 to essentially end slavery. Texas didn’t give up their right to be their own fucking country till they were admitted to the Union on December 29. 1845.
I kinda like Texas and their quasi-independent attitude. “T for Texas” by Lynyrd Skynyrd is a great song.
Yet floating holidays in June are okay by me. As long as Felon 47 doesn’t rename it “Shithole Countries of the World Celebration Day”
ETA: It took some force, from wiki:
On the morning of June 19, 1865, Union Major General Gordon Granger arrived on the island of Galveston to take command of the more than 2,000 federal troops recently landed in the department of Texas to enforce the emancipation of its enslaved population and oversee Reconstruction, nullifying all laws passed within Texas during the war by Confederate lawmakers. The order informed all Texans that, in accordance with a Proclamation from the Executive of the United States, all enslaved people were free.
So, at the same time, fuck Texas.
