There you have it, folks. The president of the United States of America does not care if deployed active duty members of the Armed Forces get hurt or killed. He even says he gave permission for a foreign government to attack them.
This is because he hasn’t the first clue how to negotiate or ‘make a deal’. He’s a nitwit, that is outclassed at every turn of events. So he takes his ball and goes home.
Everything from economics to the lunch he eats and the clothes he wears shows he’s clueless.
Yeah. He’s a bully and a con artist; if the other side fails to be either intimidated or fooled, then he’s out of options. If nothing else his conviction that all agreements are supposed to be completely one-sided and his disinterest in keeping his side of any agreement he does enter into means he has negative skill at deal-making.
His success is a combination of privilege, appealing to people’s worst impulses, and as a living proof of the phrase “there’s a sucker born every minute”. MAGA demonstrates that suckers are a major demographic, in fact.
ISTM that he always emerges from negotiations holding the dirty end of the stick. He boasts about is ‘Big Incredible – No On’e Ever Seen Agreement As Good As This – Agreement’, while the other side is laughing up their sleeves at how The Great Negotiator got snookered. Like when Trump gave Syria to Russia, or when his tariffs induced China to buy their grain from Russia instead of the United States, or giving classified information (I don’t remember in exchange for what – Praise fromPutin) to Russia…
Hm. I think I’m detecting a pattern. But it seems that the one agreement that I can think of that he actually competed this year (with the UK), was less advantageous for us than he ‘thinks’.
I remember seeing some documentary on Trump and there was a segment on his history of stiffing the contractors who worked on his Atlantic City casinos. Trump wouldn’t pay them, or pay less than the agreed upon amount, citing substandard work and then threaten to sue them and blacklist their companies to drive them out of business if they pushed back. I guess that works to certain extent with small businesses but I don’t think his experience with that tactic applies to countries.
So now migrants aren’t just eating cats and dogs, they are eating themselves! Not happy with just everyday fear mongering, they have to up the stakes. Video should be queued at relevant insane accusation.
I’m still trying to process how Cruella de Vile can complain about cruelty.
And it’s not something to mock the man for doing. It’s as clear an indication as could be he needs mental health care, not just chucking him across the border or sending him to a notorious prison in a third country.
I hope this passes. Who am I and what happend to Monty, you ask? I assure you I am he and nothing has happened to me. Here’s why I hope this makes it into law (and my apologies for the all caps):
NO PERSON BORN TO AN ALIEN MERELY VISITING THE UNITED STATES, NO PERSON BORN TO AN ALIEN WHO HAS EITHER ENTERED THE COUNTRY ILLEGALLY OR OVERSTAYED THEIR VISA SHALL BE SUBJECT TO US LAWS. THAT IS THE ULTIMATE “GET OUT OF JAIL FREE” CARD!
This inane proposal will simply create an entire class of persons who cannot be prosecuted for any crimes they commit in the United States.
Also, I seem to recall the US is a signatory of some treaty or another which requires our government to not create stateless aliens.
I truly wonder if these magaflatearthers actually understand the meaning of any words. It’s as though each and every one of them has the thousand monkeys pounding away at typewriter keys. No, strike that. It’s as though their idol does and they are merely parrots.
At the time the casinos were being built in Atlantic City I was living in Pennsylvania and read an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer specifically about Trump’s practices. A contractor said that when he and the others in the area would bid on putting up a Trump property the bid would be much higher than usual; he called it the Trump surcharge. That way if he actually paid it off they’d make out like bandits but when he inevitably stiffed them, they’d make at least a little bit on the job.
Frequently somebody new would come along and submit a bid without the surcharge, handily win because he was less than anybody else, and be driven into bankruptcy when they didn’t get paid.
Serious question here… how did he keep getting away with it? I’m from the UK and I’m pretty sure if you kept failing to pay your bills here you’d be in receipt of winding up petitions all the time.
His reputation preceded him. If anyone did try to sue him for payment, he would keep them tied up in court (sound familiar?) until they gave up or ran out of money. It was just easier to take what you could get.
