As I’ve mentioned before, I occasionally look in on a predominantly right-wing board. While some right-wingers are still supporting Trump, others are expressing disappointment and feeling betrayal. While stopping short of stating that they made a mistake by supporting Trump, many have indicated that they might rethink their decision to do so, had they known then what they know now..
Here’s one example. It was posted as an open letter to Trump. It is rather long, but I think this is the choicest bit:
IF many of them decide to ditch trump, whose tent will welcome them? And where will they want to go? They won’t turn to the Dems and liberals. In spite of no Epstein docs, they likely still believe that Democrats and other liberals feast at night on the bodies of trafficked children, so where will they go? There is no one in the Republican party who has a grip on their souls the way trump does. Will Elmo succeed in creating a third party? Will they just withdraw from the fight and sulk? They will be ripe for someone to claim, but I don’t see any candidates on the horizon with the evil gravitas of trump.
Still can’t stop thinking that everything is part of some Grand Conspiracy even when then know the other answer is orders of magnitude more likely.
