Tech billionaire Elon Musk, who earlier this month feuded online with President Donald Trump after stepping down as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency, has been flooding his social media feed with criticism of Trump and his administration’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Using his X platform, Musk has been on a posting spree since Wednesday, posting or reposting criticisms of Trump’s handling of the Epstein files more than 35 times.

He’s even used his AI chatbot Grok – which just clinched a $200 million deal with the Trump administration – to address the issue.

President Donald Trump has been diagnosed with a condition that causes blood to pool in his legs after he was examined for “mild swelling in his lower legs,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Thursday.

At a press briefing, Leavitt said Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a “benign” condition common in people over the age of 70. The president is 79.

Follow-up tests found no evidence of a serious or life-threatening condition like deep vein thrombosis, she said, but they did lead to a diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency.

Hey, that fits in well with both of his other conditions: bone spurs and just plain insufficiency.

Facing uproar in his MAGA base over the Jeffrey Epstein files, President Donald Trump has called for Attorney General Pam Bondi “to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval” related to the case.

Bondi responded on social media Thursday evening, saying, “we are ready to move the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts.”

Trump, in a phone interview with “Just the News” on Real America’s Voice on Wednesday night, alleged without providing evidence that Democrats and former officials doctored files relating to the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender.

The comments came when Trump was asked if he wanted one prosecutor to look into the broad subject of political prosecution.

A collection of letters gifted to Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday in 2003 included a note bearing Donald Trump’s name and an outline of a naked woman, according to a Wall Street Journal report published Thursday.

The drawing, depicting a woman’s breasts and a “Donald” signature in the place of pubic hair, surrounded several lines of typewritten text, according to the newspaper, which reviewed the letter. It concluded with the line: “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”

Trump in an interview with the Journal on Tuesday denied that he wrote the letter or drew the picture and threatened to sue the newspaper if it published the story.

“I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women,” he said, according to the Journal. “It’s not my language. It’s not my words.”

That last bit reminds of Austin Powers. “It’s not my bag, baby!”

The Trump administration cut 1,353 domestic State Department staffers on Friday, part of a long-planned effort to reorganize the agency and slash its U.S.-based staff by around 15%. The administration says the layoffs — along with thousands of voluntary departures — were necessary to streamline a department it argues had become bloated and bureaucratic.

“We took a very deliberate step to reorganize the State Department to be more efficient and more focused,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters last week.

Multiple State Department employees who spoke to CBS argued the cuts were arbitrary and poorly executed, and could damage U.S. foreign relations while also weakening the country’s diplomatic corps. And sources described last week’s layoffs as chaotic, with some of the department’s bureaus and offices — including staffers who work on passport fraud — facing cuts despite earlier indications to Congress that they would be left alone.

Thank you for those of you that let me know about it.” Weistling posted similar statements on Facebook and Instagram, adding that the news ruined his family vacation.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has released revised rules on personal appearance for members of the Army and Air Force that could disproportionately affect women and minorities.

This month, the U.S. Army and Air Force issued separate directives that tightly regulate how service members are allowed to look, including the length of their hair, the way they wear their uniforms, and the color of nail polish they wear.

Independent journalist Ken Klippenstein reported on the memos on Thursday, writing that the secretary believes that “disciplined hair care will lead to a disciplined military” and restore a “warrior ethos,” which he often talks about in interviews and hearings.

One of the most detailed sections in the Army’s directive from July 8 pertains to shaving, which most members of the Armed Forces are required to do daily. The Army previously granted “shaving waivers” to service members who suffer from pseudofolliculitis barbae , also known as razor bumps. These waivers allowed soldiers to sport neatly trimmed beards instead.

However, under the new directive, soldiers with razor bumps will be allowed to keep their beards for only a temporary treatment period, after which they risk being banned from the Army if they do not shave. The Army will even cover the cost of laser hair removal for soldiers if other treatment options have been exhausted.

Visiting the United States is about to get significantly more expensive thanks to a new US visa fee increase.

Federal lawmakers have approved a hefty new visa fee that will soon apply to a large number of tourists entering the US. As part of the Trump administration’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act that was signed into law on July 4, a new $250 “visa integrity fee” will be charged to any US visitor who needs a nonimmigrant visa.

According to the bill’s language, the fee will apply to “any alien issued a nonimmigrant visa at the time of such issuance.” That means anyone applying for a nonimmigrant visa in any category that requires issuance for entry into the US should expect to pay the $250 charge, according to immigration legal firm Envoy Global.

When officials begin collecting the fees (the start date of which remains in question), the money will go to the US Treasury Department’s general fund.

Travel industry experts are worried that the new fee could potentially further curtail US tourist numbers, which have already dipped in 2025. Geoff Freeman, president and CEO of the US Travel Association, called the new fees “foolish” in a statement released after Congress passed the bill on July 3.

The new fees are being implemented just before the US is set to host major global events like the World Cup in 2026 and the Summer Olympics in 2028, which could throw a huge wrench in the plans of both potential visitors and travel companies.

Travelers from visa waiver countries who are visiting the US for a reason that requires a special visa will also be required to pay the fee. The fees will apply to all student visas, work visas, and other special visas, including: F-1 and F-2 student visas; J-1 and J-2 exchange visas; H1-b and H-4 temporary work visas, and other employment and visitor categories.

What’s more: the $250 payment will be charged in addition to other visa fees. That means visitors will need to pay it along with any other reciprocity fees, anti-fraud fees, and “machine-readable visa” (MRV) application fees, the amounts of which can vary by visa type.

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — Venezuela released 10 jailed Americans on Friday in exchange for getting home scores of migrants deported by the United States to El Salvador months ago under the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown, officials said.

The complex, three-country arrangement represents a diplomatic achievement for Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, helps President Donald Trump in his goal of bringing home Americans jailed abroad and lands Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele a swap that he proposed months ago.

“Every wrongfully detained American in Venezuela is now free and back in our homeland,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement in which he thanked Bukele, a Trump ally.

Bukele said El Salvador had handed over all the Venezuelan nationals in its custody. Maduro described Friday as “a day of blessings and good news for Venezuela” during his address to a gathering of agriculture producers.

“Today is the perfect day for Venezuela,” he said. “Today has been a splendid day.”

Central to the deal are more than 250 Venezuelan migrants freed by El Salvador, which in March agreed to a $6 million payment from the Trump administration to house them in its notorious prison.

Yeah, it’s a great day for Venezuela. They got their people whom the felon and his accomplices sent to a concentration camp in El Salvador. El Salvador got six million US dollars, and the United States got ten people released from a Venezuelan prison.

Oh, we got egg on our face because our dictator president just proved he just sent a large number of people to a concentration camp in another country as part of a kidnap for ransom scheme.

Some FBI agents just might want to rename and relocate.

A federal judge agreed Thursday to a request by the Trump administration to dismiss a lawsuit that sought to block the release of the names of thousands of FBI agents who worked on Jan. 6 cases.

U.S. District Judge Jia Cobb, an appointee of former President Biden, expressed sympathy for agents who went to court seeking limitations on the Trump administration after the Justice Department demanded a list of all who had done investigative work on the cases of rioters.

“Plaintiffs filed these cases in a whirlwind of chaos and fear,” Cobb wrote, adding that “some former January 6 defendants, now pardoned and at large, called for FBI agents to be doxed (or worse).”

“Since then, the dust has settled some—and this case has evolved,” Cobb continued.

FBI agents have been in court since February, filing the case shortly after eight top career FBI officials were fired, and Principal Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove, now nominated for a lifetime appointment to the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals, demanded the list.

But Cobb determined the Justice Department does not appear poised to act on agents’ fears that a list would be used not only to fire agents but publicly release their identities as an act of retribution.

Leavitt scolded The Independent’s Andrew Feinberg on Thursday when the D.C. correspondent brought up Trump’s “impossible story” about his uncle, noted Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor John Trump. He claimed that this father’s brother taught “Unabomber” Ted Kaczynski at the famed university.

“Kaczynski was one of his students,” he said on Tuesday, at the Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit in Pittsburgh.

Trump made the bizarre brag even though Kaczynski had never attended MIT. Additionally, the Unabomber’s identity was not known until around 1996. John Trump died in 1985.

Swazis are not happy about their government creating a concentration camp.

Across Africa, and in the tiny nation of Eswatini, fury has erupted over the arrival of foreign deportees from the United States, after its government confirmed that migrants described by a Department of Homeland security spokesperson as “depraved monsters” had been sent to its prisons.

Roughly the size of New Jersey, Eswatini — formerly known as Swaziland — is governed by a monarch who has absolute power. On Wednesday, officials said that five deportees from the US were being held in isolated units in its jails, acknowledging “widespread concern” but insisting the deported men “pose no threat to the country or its citizens.”

The five men are being kept in solitary confinement, acting government spokesperson Thabile Mdluli told CNN Friday, but stopped short of disclosing the prisons they were held in, citing security risks.

Mdluli did not reveal how long the men would stay in Eswatini, but said: “Critical engagements between stakeholders are still ongoing.” She had earlier stated that the deportation was the “result of months of robust high-level engagements” between the US and the southern African nation.

Critics of the move say it is unacceptable for Eswatini to be treated as a “dumping ground” for people considered unfit to live in the US.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has criticized Trump’s peace ultimatum to Vladimir Putin, suggesting it’s too slow.

The U.S. president on Monday said he is “very, very unhappy” with Russia and threatened the country with secondary tariffs of up to 100 percent if it does not negotiate a peace deal with Ukraine within 50 days.

Zelensky, while appreciative of the support, thinks this period is too long, however, and spoke to Trump’s favorite newspaper, the New York Post, to ensure he receives the message.

“Fifty days, for us, is just—every day is scary,” he said in an interview with the New York Post.

“Putin does not want a conclusion… so he’s just not ready to compromise,” he added. “If Ukraine has to do this on its own, we have a very long way to go with a lot of deaths to convince him that it’s important [to end the conflict] because it’s not just words—they need serious leverage.”

Preemptive self-defense move by 20 states

Twenty states joined forces in the wake of deadly flash flooding in Kerr County, Texas, filing a lawsuit against the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, and the federal government — over what plaintiffs assert was an unlawful decision to strip FEMA of critical disaster response funding in April.

What’s happening?

Twenty states filed a federal lawsuit in Boston on July 16 against the above-named defendants, claiming they acted unlawfully in unilaterally terminating the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) program on April 4.

At the time, a press release attributed to FEMA called BRIC “yet another example of a wasteful and ineffective FEMA program,” claiming it was “more concerned with political agendas than helping Americans affected by natural disasters.”

Per a New York Times report published on July 16, the administration “offered no examples or evidence to back up” those assertions.

After the suit was filed, Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell explained why the states filed suit against the government and federal agencies, citing the agency’s poor response in Texas.

“In the wake of devastating flooding in Texas and other states, it’s clear just how critical federal resources are in helping states prepare for and respond to natural disasters,” Campbell commented.

It’s not just a purported “client list” of late billionaire sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein — the Trump administration is reportedly hiding $1.5 billion worth of suspicious banking transactions from the public.

As the New York Times reports, senator Ron Wyden (D-OR), who heads the Senate Finance Committee, is calling for enormous money transfers sent to and by Epstein — including wire transfers from wealthy individuals and payments to numerous women — to be made public.

It’s the polar opposite of what president Donald Trump needs right now. In increasingly desperate pleas, the former reality TV star has begged his MAGA base to move on without scrutinizing the government’s files on Epstein.

“We felt from the beginning this was a follow-the-money case,” Wyden told the NYT. “This horrific sex-trafficking operation cost Epstein a lot of money, and he had to get that money from somewhere.”

However, federal laws are hamstringing Wyden’s efforts to publicize more details about the “suspicious activity reports” (SARs) reviewed by his staff. Therefore, he’s now calling on Trump to make these reports available to Congress for analysis.

WASHINGTON − After the Supreme Court in 2022 made it harder to restrict who can arm themselves in public, some states took a different approach.

Five Democrat-led, mostly densely populous states passed laws that prohibit bringing a handgun onto someone else’s property without that person’s express consent.

Now the Trump administration wants the Supreme Court to declare that such rules in Hawaii, California, New York, Maryland and New Jersey violate the Constitution.

“The United States has a substantial interest in the preservation of the right to keep and bear arms and in the proper interpretation of the Second Amendment,” Solicitor General John Sauer wrote in explaining why the Department of Justice wants the high court to weigh in.

The first woman to lead the US naval academy is being reassigned, with the defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, moving to replace her with a Marine Corps general, defense officials confirmed on Friday.

The decision marks the first time in the nearly 180-year history of the academy that a Marine Corps officer has been nominated to take charge.

Yvette Davids, who assumed leadership of the academy in January 2024, is being succeeded by Michael Borgschulte, currently responsible for Marine Corps personnel as the deputy commandant for manpower and reserve affairs based in Quantico, Virginia, according to a Friday press release from the defense department.

I have no problem with a Marine Corps general being the superintendent of the Naval Academy. I have no problem with General Borgshulte. In fact, I feel for the man, knowing that his predecessor’s tenure in the position came to an end because of bias by the felon and his accomplices.

For many school districts, the first day of classes is only weeks away. Thanks to the Trump administration, educators across the country suddenly don’t know if they’ll have the funds to support students and provide critical services.

On June 30, the Department of Education announced it was withholding nearly $7 billion from public schools. In a three-sentence email sent to the states, the agency said it was “reviewing” five different funding grants. Some of the affected programs deal with support for English learners, after-school programs, teacher professional development, and adult education.

“The Department remains committed to ensuring taxpayer resources are spent in accordance with the President’s priorities and the Department’s statutory responsibilities,” the email said.

This week, 24 states and Washington, D.C., responded to the freeze by filing a lawsuit against the Trump administration, alleging that the withholding of funds is illegal and would come at a great cost to students across the country. In particular, one group has found, red states would be among the hardest hit.

“Defendants’ actions now jeopardize these critical programs—the loss of which has irreparably harmed and will irreparably harm the Plaintiff States, their schools, and the students and families they serve,” the suit said.

Congress has already appropriated the funds, and the Impoundment Control Act of 1974 makes it illegal for a president to unilaterally hold back money that Congress has set aside.

Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., is demanding an investigation into Belmont University after leaked recordings of a university faculty member admitting the school has maintained its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives but “just change[d] on how we talk about it” despite federal directives to end the programs deemed by many to be discriminatory.

In undercover recordings, the same official can be heard admitting the school also enrolls illegal immigrants and hides that information from external entities, which Ogles suggested could violate state law against knowingly harboring illegal aliens for profit.

“Belmont University claims to be a Christian institution grounded in Biblical principles, but its administration is injecting anti-gospel DEI ideology into its curriculum,” Ogles told Fox News Digital.

Members of the Department of Justice in recent weeks have reached out to several states around the country requesting voter information, according to sources familiar with the outreach and letters obtained by ABC News.

The outreach was made to at least six states. In some of the letters obtained by ABC News, the DOJ requested from the states broad information about voting systems, how counties maintain updated voter information and how noncitizens who are on voter lists are identified.

The letters also, in some cases, requested copies of the state’s voter registration lists.

So if you guessed “secret ballots” above, you are now vindicated.

Did you guess “due process”? Oh, yeah. That ship’s sailed long ago. But evidently, they’re still at it. (The bolding is mine.)

Attorney General Pam Bondi sent letters to several California sheriffs on Thursday requesting the names “of all inmates in their county jails who are not citizens of the United States, their crimes of arrest or conviction and their scheduled release dates.”

*Aside: for an administration that insisted on making English the official language of the United States, these criminals are incredibly bad at the language.

I believe the proper term is alleged offense. And we’re not supposed to punish people based on just an allegation or an arrest. Punishment comes after a trial.

Tell me how many amendments in the Bill of Rights the felon and his accomplices have now violated, please.

And what the fuck is she doing contacting the county sheriffs directly anyway? The last time I checked, California, unlike the federal government, does have a working and competent chief executive.
