The Trump Administration: The Clusterfuck Continues

I’ve heard suso, dodo, and dede. You didn’t ask, but I’ll answer anyway; the Tagalog slang word for the woman’s vagina is kiki.

Alright, now I need to come up with an excuse for why I renamed my dog. :dog:

But… But it was made by Duh-bya! A Republican! (And the only good thing Duh-bya ever did.)

I’m guessing its this story.

about this memo

Or at leastI hope it is. If there is a worse memo I don’t want to see it.

Look up in the sky. It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s Stuperman!

President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Saturday morning to announce a press conference on Monday that he claimed would end violent crime in the nation’s capital.

“On Monday a Press Conference will be held at the White House which will, essentially, stop violent crime in Washington, D.C.” said Trump. “It has become one of the most dangerous cities anywhere in the World. It will soon be one of the safest!!!”

The felon says to Purple Heart recipients, You thought you had it rough?

Donald Trump couldn’t resist praising himself at a Purple Heart Day ceremony, reminding the crowd that the minor injuries he suffered during last year’s assassination attempt weren’t “easy” for him either.

The president hosted nearly 100 people who have been awarded the Purple Heart at a ceremony in the White House on Thursday. The medal is awarded to service members who are wounded or killed in action against an enemy.

Three of the attendees handed Trump their own medals after a gunman tried to kill the then-presidential candidate at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024.

Trump referenced the three service members by name during a speech Thursday, before going off script and saying, “It wasn’t that easy for me either.”

How’s that tariff on gold working out for you, felon?

LONDON (Reuters) -The White House plans to clarify what its official called misinformation about import tariffs for gold bars amid uncertainty, which saw some industry players pausing deliveries of bullion to the United States.

According to a ruling on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) service’s website on Friday, Washington may place the most widely traded gold bullion bars in the United States under country-specific import tariffs, a move that would roil the metal’s global supply chains.

The White House intends to issue an executive order in the near future “clarifying misinformation” about tariffs on gold bars and other specialty products, the White House official told Reuters on Friday.

U.S. gold futures pared gains after the White House comment. They were last up 0.1% at $3,457 per ounce, reducing a premium over spot gold, the global benchmark, which was steady at $3,398. [GOL/]

The CBP ruling refers to cast gold bars from Switzerland, the world’s biggest bullion refining and transit hub, which is now subject to U.S. import tariffs of 39%.

Damn. He even fucks up at fucking up.

higher

all

At least K-12, but chartered only.

The fucker really meant it when saying he “loves the uneducated”. Not quite full-on Pol Pot territory yet, but maybe Stephen Miller could percolate that level into being.

As was said: destroyed. (In the phrase “chartered school,” only one of the words is true.)

No surprise. After all, he loves himself.

Not for want of trying.

You left out Critical Thinking (though TBH, it’s kinda implied, especially in the last).

They think these are al synonyms for Democrat.

It’s one policy where he leads by example.

Which, of course, will not be compared to the situation in Los Angeles, where ICE agents are diligently combatting Mexican gangs by studiously avoiding areas controlled by gangs. Felon-ONE will end crime in DC by proudly declaring that he has ended crime in DC, making sure that his minions keep all NG law enforcement-ish records and data classified Eyes-Only.

I didn’t see if this was answered. Putin has been to the USA, a couple times to pal with his bud W, and a couple UN meetings or such in the early 2000’s.

Then once more to the UN in 2015.

I will assume that Presidents and other diplomats are always “welcome” to visit other countries. In the case of the W years he was almost certainly invited. In 2015, dunno. I reckon the Russian Consulate had to send a limo to pick him up.

I do not believe any leader has been turned around at JFK/Idlewild. Nikita Khrushchev was DUE at Idlewild for a state visit in 1959 where he famously had his entourage stop at a random supermarket in or just outside San Francisco. He was visibly amazed at all the choices of food. Of course in the USSR they knew it was all a set up. American supermarkets are inferior to ours.

:musical_notes:
There’s a holdup in the Bronx,
Brooklyn’s broken out in fights,
there’s a traffic jam in Harlem
that’s backed up to Jackson Heights,
there’s a scout troop short a child,
Khrushchev’s due at Idlewild–
Car 54, where ARE you?
:police_car:

From memory.
Carry on.

Well, thank you for that!

The worst numbers. Nobody’s ever seen numbers this bad. Bigly bad. Ketchup throwing bad.(The bolding is mine.)

Tens of millions of Americans voted for President Donald Trump in the belief that he would be competent. They might not have been thrilled that Trump is a convicted felon, or pleased with his role in the violent attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Many worried that he posed a threat to democracy. But enough were willing to overlook all that, because they convinced themselves that Trump would be an effective chief executive, that under his stewardship their lives would get better and the country would prosper.

A survey from the Democratic pollsters Douglas Schoen and Carly Cooperman, conducted shortly after the election, helps illustrate the point. By an 11-point margin, independents said they would be less confident that the Trump administration would share accurate information compared with the Biden administration. Yet, by a 10-point margin, those same voters said that they thought the Trump administration would be more effective at getting things done.

“Ultimately, our postelection poll makes clear that voters prioritized perceived effectiveness rather than upholding democracy this election,” Schoen and Cooperman wrote, “and while they are deeply skeptical towards our institutions generally, they are cautiously optimistic that the incoming administration will be effective at providing real-world solutions.”

A little more than half a year into Trump’s second term, however, the public’s confidence in his skill as a chief executive is shattering. In a recent AP/NORC poll, only about one-quarter of U.S. adults said that Trump’s policies have helped them. Roughly half report that Trump’s policies have “done more to hurt” them, and about two in 10 say his policies have “not made a difference” in their lives. Remarkably, Trump failed to earn majority approval on any of the issues in the poll, including the economy, immigration, and cutting government spending.

As a result, a politically toxic impression is hardening. Trump’s approval rating in the most recent Gallup poll is 37 percent, the lowest of this term and only slightly higher than his all-time low of 34 percent, at the end of his first term. (Among independents, Trump’s approval rating is down to 29 percent.) Americans already understood Trump to be corrupt, and proved themselves willing to tolerate that. But now they are coming to believe that he is inept. In American politics, that is an unforgivable sin.

I’d say it used to be an unforgivable sin. The First Felonial Era showed to all and sundry exactly how inept (100%) he is. The Second Felonial Era is merely reinforcing that fact.

Mexico set minimum export prices for 'maters.

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) -Mexico has set minimum export prices for fresh tomatoes to protect its domestic production and ensure internal supply after a bilateral agreement with the U.S. expired, Mexico’s economy and agriculture ministries said in a joint statement on Sunday.

The decision follows Washington’s withdrawal in July from a 2019 deal between the two countries which regulated Mexican tomato exports to the U.S..

The Trump administration on July 14 announced a duty of about 17% on imports of fresh tomatoes from Mexico.

While the new pricing rules apply exclusively to definitive exports, they don’t restrict export volumes or impose maximum prices. Prices will be reviewed annually or sooner if market conditions demand, the Mexican ministries said.

Minimum export prices per kilogram are set at $1.70 for cherry and grape tomatoes, $0.88 for Roma tomatoes, $0.95 for round tomatoes, and $1.65 for round tomatoes with stems. Other varieties, such as cocktail and heirloom tomatoes, will also have a minimum price of $1.70.

If my math is correct, that’s an extra 16 cents per kilogram for round tomatoes due to the tariff, an extra 16 cents for no good reason whatsoever.

Homeless in DC? The felon’s after you!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -President Donald Trump pledged on Sunday to evict homeless people from the nation’s capital and jail criminals, despite Washington’s mayor arguing there is no current spike in crime.

“The Homeless have to move out, IMMEDIATELY. We will give you places to stay, but FAR from the Capital. The Criminals, you don’t have to move out. We’re going to put you in jail where you belong,” Trump posted on the Truth Social platform.

The White House declined to explain what legal authority Trump would use to evict people from Washington. The Republican president controls only federal land and buildings in the city.

He put that out on his Xitter clone because even a moron such as he knows a reporter would ask, “If you believe criminals belong in jail, why aren’t you in prison now?

And speaking of the war on DC

The Trump administration plans to cut millions in security funding for Washington, D.C., despite the president also directing federal law enforcement to increase its presence in the city because of its “totally out of control” crime.

In a grant notice posted last week, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) said that D.C.'s urban security fund would receive $25.2 million, a 44% year-over-year reduction.

The Department of Homeland Security, which oversees FEMA, said on Friday it slashed funds to multiple cities to be consistent with the “current threat landscape.” Chicago, New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Jersey City also had their security funds cut, but the decrease in D.C. was the largest for any urban area that received funding from the program last fiscal year.

And exactly how “out of control” is crime in DC? (I mean besides a multiple felon resident at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW.) (Same link)

Violent crime in D.C. dropped by 35% between 2023 and 2024, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for D.C. said in December, stating that there were 3,388 incidents last year compared to 5,215 incidents the year before.

Crimes that saw significant drops last year included homicide, which was down 30%, sexual abuse down 22% and assault with a dangerous weapon down 27%. Robberries and burglaries slightly dropped to 8% for both.

Governor Pritzker’s spot-on! (The bolding is mine.)

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker slammed President Donald Trump as a “cheater” and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott as a “joke” days after welcoming Texas Democrats who fled their state in protest of GOP-led redistricting efforts.

“Governor Abbott is the joke,” Pritzker, a Democrat, told NBC News’ “Meet the Press” in an interview that aired Sunday in response to Abbott calling Illinois’ congressional map a “joke.”

“He’s the one who is attempting mid-decade here — at a time when, frankly, all of us are concerned about the future of democracy. He’s literally helping whittle it away and licking the boots of his leader, Donald Trump,” Pritzker added.

Pritzker also defended himself against allegations that Illinois’ congressional map is gerrymandered. Trump won 44% of the statewide vote in 2024 but Republicans hold only three of the state’s 17 House districts.

“We held public hearings, legislative hearings. People attended them. They spoke out. There was a map that was put out. There were actually changes made to the map. And a map was passed, and it was done at the end of the census, the decennial census. So that’s how it’s done in this country,” Pritzker said.

He went on to say, “This is — it’s cheating. Donald Trump is a cheater. He cheats on his wives, he cheats at golf, and now he’s trying to cheat the American people out of their votes.”

Alert the White House cleaning staff. The ketchup is going to fly!

What does President Donald Trump have in common with drag queens? A lot, some say.

”There’s a lot you can call Donald Trump. No one has ever called him feminine,” MAGA podcaster Charlie Kirk announced to a round of laughter from his audience.

The internet, however, says otherwise.

Kirk’s soundbite has gone viral on social media as X users frame Trump’s made-for-TV antics as evidence of his “feminine” tendencies.

“Literally the best definition I saw for Trump’s personality is ‘drag queen for straight men,’” one user wrote on X in response to the clip.

“Trump not feminine? He’s catty, queeny and bitchy (and sometimes outright c—y) and wants a glittery ballroom dripping in gold,” chimed in another. “And that’s not even touching on his bizarre obsession with his clothes, hair and makeup.”

There are more great examples in that article. My favorite, though, is this bit.

Other social media users are citing a 2016 study about masculine and feminine speaking styles from Jennifer Jones Gebhardt, a visiting assistant professor in the political science department at Loyola Marymount University. A chart from Gebhardt’s study ranks Trump ahead of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, and former Rep. Michelle Bachmann of Minnesota when it comes to using “feminine” language.

Thanks are due to ThelmaLou. I only knew the first two lines and last two lines of the opening titles. I did set the ball on the tee.

That they mention Khrushchev was kind of cool, though the McCarthy years were over. Trump recently called the Russians “wile characters” which is definitely an insult to an entire nation. Yet Khrushchev was certainly a “character” which often is a compliment.

Also, when airports change their name, they usually keep their IATA codes. Ronald Reagan Airport is still DCA. Idlewiid was IDW quckly became JFK.

One of his flunkies wrote it - yet it’s CAPITOL

Well, it’s AOL yet their editors need to learn SIC

Trump wants to evict homeless from Washington and send them ‘far from the capital’ [sic]

Do we have cattle cars at Union Station? Don’t need Penske vans.

nothing for nothing people… but where are they to go? Forcing the homeless out of the cities is very much 1934…
