It’s been said that any prosecutor should be able to get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich.
If Trump’s DOJ is having trouble indicting anyone over a thrown sandwich, that’s a good sign that at least the grand jury system is working.
That article refers to another such case I was reading about earlier, where the same thing happened in another one of these puffed-up indictments for minor scuffles.
May we finally have found what will stop Trump? Regular citizens on juries, Grand or otherwise, who just refuse to go along with the weaponization of the criminal justice system?
I think anyone charged under similar circumstances should forgo any plea deal, and make them go to trial, and show how weak these cases really are.
