I could have sworn there was a thread here at some point about a scene in this movie, but I can’t find it. Anyway, it basically asked:
“IMDB credits William Wyler’s daughters as being the girls at the soda counter admiring Fred (Dana Andrews). Wyler’s daughters at that time were little kids, and these two girls were teenagers.”
I have just seen this movie, and I agree that there’s no way that the two girls eyeing Andrews as he leaves the drug store can be Wyler’s daughters. Definitely too old.
However, if it’s true that Wyler’s daughters are in that sequence, it’s possible that they’re the two little girls to the left of the card rack seen when Andrews first enters the drug store. They would be about the right age.
Anyway, I couldn’t find the old thread, so I just thought I’d post a confirmation.
