The U.S. A terrorist nation?

perspective sorry for dragging you into that. You just happen to propose that we offer One Cell the benefit of the doubt regarding his/her lack of sources at a moment when I was getting a tad bit irritated at the lack of the same.

I can’t answer for anyone else, but I guess you’re adressing me in any case as regards the flourishing ad hominems. I usually try to put some effort and time into posting well based arguments. If I goof anyway (which I sure do at times) I tend to retract and concede. It’s kind of infuriating when you get someone who wastes the time of the board, by doing the contrary and just burping out provocations without basis AND refuses to admit they have not a leg to stand on when proven wrong.

And ‘guy’ was not meant to be understood as a gender descriptive.

Once again my apologies for dragging you into my argument, it wasn’t fair of me.

Sparc

Yes. I do.

In March 1981, U.S. Secretary of State Alexander Haig (an Ex General?) told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that he saw the possibility of improved ties with Iraq and sent a deputy assistant secretary of state to Baghdad for talks. The U.S. then removed Iraq from its list of nations supporting “international terrorism”. and Washington extended a $400 million credit guarantee for U.S. exports to Iraq. In November 1984, the U.S. and Iraq restored diplomatic relations.

These are verifiable facts. You can dig them out yourself in any history book on Iran-Iraq war, or a Google search on Iraq, US, 1981.

Loki, I was actually being facetious - sorry!
