This is the point I was trying to make, but failed. Pictures are virtually useless by themselves, since they don’t tell you very much. People need actual information, such as what businesses are located under all those roofs, what the name of all those roads are, etc. etc. That means collecting a metric assload of information and then carefully correlating it with all those pictures and updating it all the time.
Even if it was that cheap, all you have now is several terabytes of pretty pictures, and no idea what is on them - that’s even less use than Google Maps. How much more are you going to spend attaching some meaning to those photos?
