And on Tuesday, Britt – and Trump – prevailed, CNN projected.
These two sentences contradict each other, IMO. If Trump only endorsed Britt “once it became clear she was the front-runner”, then he didn’t “prevail” when she won.
Anybody can endorse candidates once it’s clear that they are already the front-runners and end up on the winning side the vast majority of the time. That’s not “prevail[ing]”.
