As long as we’re on the subject, friend Bricker, please note the upper left hand of this post. It clearly identifies me. If you find my loquacity and opinions annoying, you need only look there to be advised, and then pick up your little basket and skip along, skip along…
Admittely, it will be tough at first, but somehow, I think I can find the strength to go on…
Yes, this job George Soros has given everyone on this board who disagrees with you, posting here while on the MoveOn payroll, is by far the best pay a stoopid lib’ruhl could hope for. It’s too bad we’re not smart like Armstrong Williams and can get your tax money for it, too.
Ironic to hold that argument up considering this administration fights tooth and nail to deny so many FOIA requests and then has secret meetings to discuss public policy.
Of course they have moved on to the next big lie: Social Security is going Broke!
Yes. Once Ms. Knox was advised that CBS had not authenticated the content of the memos – subsequent to the interview you quote - she clarified her story.
I agree it’s a conflict. Why do I resolve the conflict in favor of her most recent statements, the ones made after she was in possession of all the facts – and you resolve the conflict to favor her earlier version?
Maybe. Maybe not. Appears there is a controversy re acceptable usage.
I’m not big on semantics arguments myself, but I’m guessing the input re what is or isn’t ironic - from a pro-war, Bush-loving Canadian - would be…er…interesting?
Take it up with them (if you’re ever that bored, or say, frustrated), or agree to split the difference with me and blame it on Alanis Morissette.
The polls are only evidence of current majority views. If you disagree with those views, it is you who is in the minority. Not that it should matter - being in the minority doesn’t prove your views are wrong. It’s a faulty argument (argumentum ad populum). But I’m guessing you knew that already…
Despite that a majority of Americans think the country is moving in the wrong direction (and don’t be fooled – there’s disagreement among those people about precisely how it’s moving in the wrong direction!) and opposition to the war in Iraq, the most recent numbers show that in fact a majority of Americans approve of the way George W. Bush is handling his job as president.
Wow, Manny, a whopping 52 percent! You must be simply bursting with pride! Just as you say, it is, in fact, a majority. In fact, it is a whole two percentage points above luke-warm. A crushing avalanche of a landslide of a mandate!
Hey, I just posted the facts. APB opined that a majority of people polled opposed the president and made her usual dark hints about stolen elections. In fact, despite that a majority disagree with the direction the nation is headed and that a majority disagree with the Iraq war, a majority also support the president. APB’s posted opinion is proveably factually incorrect and is now settled beyond any doubt – at least until the next approval poll, of course.
Heh. Possibly for not dissimilar reasons – Americans don’t like very much to see their President get beat up unless they’re really convinced that he’s got it coming.
In fact, it probably was DUE to the tsunami, and the feel-goodness that people experienced about the money we gave. Wait a couple weeks and it’ll drift back down, baring any major news development in Bush’s favor.
