The problem with the Matrix Sequels was that The Matrix was about Neo’s Heroic Journey and the sequels were about the war. The Wachowskis obviously liked one story better than the other.
I also liked Speed Racer. It was a fun popcorn movie.
Sense8 was amazing. Is it coming back for a second season?
Reading the account, it really kisses me off how the Daily Mail forced Wachowski’s hand. An individual’s decision whether or not to make a public statement about gender identity should be a purely personal decision.
I thought Cloud Atlas was great – I’m a big fan of the book, and thought they did a great job with the movie (though it might be somewhat incomprehensible to non-book-fans). I liked but didn’t love the Matrix (and thought the sequels were not very good at all), and didn’t like Jupiter Ascending at all. Didn’t see Speed Racer.
