The Walking Dead - Does it get any better?

Also lame-brains. maybe it was the bad guys Rick and the other met in the bar, in town. One of them said, ‘you call them walkers? we call them lame-brains.’

Didn’t a few people called them ‘geeks’ in the first season?

This seem to be common with today's TV writing. Writers seem to have gotten the idea that adding a few flaws to a characters makes them more interesting. Fair enough. The problem that most seem to not realize is that if you give a characters more flaws than positive traits, you don't have a well rounded hero, you have an asshole.

Okay, but he’s not really charismatic either, and usually has three lines per episode if he’s lucky. I would also have expected Glenn to be a good character to root for, but actually he’s a bit boring.

Okay, I took your advice and skimmed the 2nd half of season 2 on Netflix. Having watched a few episodes of season 3 - now we have a prison, instead of a farm. A few characters are dead. Situation otherwise unchanged. I don’t think this is the show for me.

The “big stupid obnoxious hick” you keep referring to is Daryl. This show is definitely not for you.

The show isn’t perfect but it’s probably one of the few zombie shows/movies that is actually somewhat realistic. The show has pretty much stayed away from smart zombies or main characters who are indestructable. I guess you have to be somewhat of a zombie fan to like it because I can see why viewers who aren’t zombie fans would feel the characters or plot is a bit stupid.
