Bad acting, Rick, the furniture chewer, a particular actor, or any scenes in general?
I’ve just never noticed the acting on The Walking Dead to be any worse than most other shows on television.
I’m curious as to what, specifically, you do in film production.

Slightly off topic, but as a Zombie theme fan, I gave up watching during season 2.
The most devastating, not to mention unusual disaster ever to hit the Human race, and the writers haven’t got the imagination to actually write about it.
Instead, in the first series we get a glorified Soap, all about how the survivors squabble amongst each other, etc etc. with the zombies becoming almost incidental.
In the second series, its all about two groups of survivors fighting each other, thousands of miles of empty terrain due to the decimation of humanity, and we have to watch a total load of bollicks that could easily have been set in the Wild West or somewhere.
The final nail for me was the opening shot of one programme.
A woman alone is pinned to a tree. being throttled from behind and attacked by a couple more Zombies from the front …
And she beats all of them, I think without firing a shot.
The Zombies have become about as threatening as stray dogs.
Lets for gods sakes get some writers with imagination back in the tv industry.
It seems as though too much attention (and budget) was focused on special effects at the expense of quality acting and writing.

What can actors do with dialogue that awful? I’ve never, EVER, heard such awful comic-book character development in my life as on this show. Weird thing is, I too am hooked to watching it. I certainly wouldn’t if I had to pay for it, but there you are. The characters are completely one-dimensional, the lines that they have to spout are ludicrous and stupid. Every decision they make is so full of holes it’s a wonder it got past the pilot episode because these idiots should have been chomped ages ago. I guess survival of the lamest is what it’s all about. The CHARACTERS!! The only ones that are in any way redeemable are Darrel and Carol. The rest? Self-righteous, holier-than-thou, inane, spouting the most ridiculous dialogue that’s ever been written for a television script. They must cringe having to portray characters so shallow and stupid. Somebody in an earlier thread said something like, “relax, dude, it’s a comic”. So true. And Carl. Jeebus H, was there EVER a more irritating little douche of a child? Rick ought to whup him and take his toys away. Lori? Why did it take so long to get rid of this awful whiny anorexic cow? Andrea? People actually get paid real money to come up with characters like this? Glen and Maggie? Dale? Shane? Characters like that are not worthy of more than zombie-lunch. Awful awful writing.
