The way back for the Democratic party.

Just to the left of George III

About International A.N.S.W.E.R: Most mainstream Democrats may not be directly familiar with them, but they are huge organizers and wheeler-dealers among the left. A lot of the protests on the left are organized by this group. They cut their teeth in the cold war, opposing the U.S. position on almost everything and staging numerous “peace rallies”.

Here is an [url=http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=1544]Article about them from Frontpagemag - consider the source when reading it, as it’s a pretty far right journal. I just found it while Googling ANSWER.

Perhaps you’re more familiar with the name Ramsey Clarke, who heads the organization.

Hugely important wheeler-dealers that “most mainstream Democrats” are not “directly familiar with”? Huh? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

“A lot”, huh? That’s a word that lacks much in the way of defiition, Sam. How many is “a lot”? One? Five? Fifty? Out of how many? Sam, its entirely possible that I’ve been on “the left” longer than you’ve been alive. Most people I know regard actual honest-to-goodness Marxists as quaint, charming and mildly ridiculous anachronisms, like some people think of the Amish.

And I note with some mild consternation your quotes around “peace rallies”. Do you regard the notion of peace as inherently leftist? Wouldn’t that, necessarily, mean you support the “pro-war” camp? Are you sure you’ve thought this through carefully enough?

There is no way back for the Democrat Party.

The last election really outed them for the pack of lying, irresponsible weasels that they are.

Well, that certainly settles that! Please continue with your gloating and back slapping. Funny, I would have thought with rougly half the country’s population on our side, we were pretty viable. But, nope, turns out we’re dead. Darn!

So you guys just go on, pay us no mind. We aren’t plotting your overthrow. How could we, if we’re dead?

You were saying?

While I’m at it, here’s a little something for no one in particular:

The Neo-Conservative Ascendancy in the Bush Administration

Disclaimer: makes for very difficult reading with head deeply buried in sand and/or blinfolded by the Star-Spangled Banner.

Oh, goody, pointless link “for no one in particular”, entirely off subject. That gives me an excuse to post my favorite link:

Albatross!

But back on subject, perhaps what Democratic Party needs is a bunch of ‘neo-libs’?

Methinks you need a decoder ring, 'cause you’re O fer 2 trying to parse that little post of mine.

You are just so proud of your ability to link to pointless crap, aren’t you?

E tu, Brutus?

Great, so you finally established a basline of where the Democrats stand today. Great. This OP is about how to get them back on the winning track, a topic not really addressed by those who should take a keen interest in the matter.

Gorgonzola?

Ted weighs in

I hope they listen to Ted and I hope Howard Dean gets the DNC chairmanship.

RedFury, DO NOT post links like that in GD, in particular referencing another poster.

Nothing’s happened but sniping for the past page so I’m locking this.
