Trouble hits Amsterdam. Gangs starting to fight over the “free zone”
Avon doesn’t want to abandon the corner trade for the legit
realestate deal but finds out he doesn’t have any muscle left.
Cutty walks away - (or tries to)
Not sure what Omar is up to
Marlo has all but taken over Avon’s corners
How long beofre Avon blames Stringer?
Will Avon try to bring in Omar for his muscle?
Stringer wants out, but will he let his desire to be legit hang Avon
McNulty goes around Cedric to get to Bunny, maybe the same type of
move will happen with the gangs.
Will Stringer end up turning in order to be legit?
I can easily see Stringer taking him out, well, not “easily” because they go way back, but Stringer is looking at it like there’s no way they can work together. Stringer completely laid out for Avon how easy the money is comign in – more than they could spend – while staying away from the packages and the violence and all Avon could say was, “I guess I’m just a gangsta.”
He couldn’t process it at all. And last week, Stringer set him up with a ride and a crib. I guess he was hoping that Avon would take it and just lay down.
Then, Avon completely embarasses him in front of the legit businessmen. That’s just a mess.
So, what’s Avon’s play? He lost 2 good guys to bullets, and lost Cutty. Now it’s just him and one other guy. He’s either going to flip-out and do something rash, or realize that Stringer is right (but that doesn’t feel right).
I don’t think Stringer wants out, entirely. He thinks the new business could turn a profit AND be a good place to launder the drug money.
I find Cutty’s character pretty interesting. I like the actor.
