I was looking at this month’s listings for a local music club. They list Olivia d’Abo scheduled to appear later this month.
Does anybody know her work as a musician? I was surprised to see her on the schedule. A web search only resulted in a lot of offers for “Hot Sexy Olivia d’Abo Pics!!!”. Does anyone know what I should expect musically if I go to the club that night?
If I go to the show I promise to bring a camera and take some hot sexy pics.
P.S. I’m the one who posted the above IMDB link which mentions that she did some background vocals on a Julien Lennon album. So don’t go posting a Reply telling me “Well, she did do some b. vox on a Julien Lennon album.”
I believe her father is Mike D’Abo, of Manfred Mann and other '60s and '70s groups – and writer of one of the prettiest songs ever written, “Handbags and Gladrags” (which I know primarily from a wonderful Rod Steward cover dating back to his Faces days).
Also noted in the link that I posted in the OP- but thanks for playing, I do like it when my posts are acknowledged. And, to your credit, the “Handbags and Gladrags” info is not listed in my link- so that’s all you, baby!
peasea’s info might be enough to get me to the club that night then I’ll have to fill y’all in. If nothing else, I promise to get some hot sexy pics.
.
Didn’t she appear on an episode of Alias in Season Two? I’ve been watching the DVD collection and could’ve sworn I saw her name, but then I couldn’t definetly ID her in the show. However, I think she played a new recruit to the CIA.
HomerIU I seem to remember that Alias episode - lemme give a description in spoiler mode (or at least try in this new format)
At the very beginning of an ep, she was this Eastern European (?) agent - or a CIA agent in Eastern Europe - and was on the streat trying to speak but shaking with fear and it turns out she was booby-trapped - the bomb goes off and she dies. That’s about it for her role (duh!). I can’t remember the specifics beyond that.
[hijack]Once again, the Dope has led me down the garden path. This thread was the direct cause of my ordering this compilation of Rod Stewart, the early years.[/hijack]
