Yep, someone did a lot of simple numerology and ‘proved’ that the internet is Satanic, Bill Gates and Al Gore are minions of Satan, and the world will end on June 6, 1998. (Get it? 6-6-98? :)) There’s a lesson here: Give a calculator to a banker and he’ll give you a long-term investment strategy. Give a calculator to a Zealot and you’ll get ‘proof’ that there isn’t going to be a long-term. (The document is copyright 1992 and 1998. Lord knows we can’t have people making illegal copies when Judgement is Nigh!) Look here, Ye Mighty, and Laugh!

Oh, and there’s a little document linked to the main one stating that while the world didn’t end on June 6, 1998, Rapture occurred. Is that why Jerry Falwell was still around after 1998?
