There is a dog HOWLING in my neighborhood and it is really creepy

No, just like the wolves in movies. I didn’t know dogs actually did this.

AAAAWWWOOOOOOOO
AAAAWWWOOOOOOOO
AAAAWWWOOOOOOOO

And now he’s got the other dogs started.

I’m scared.

It’s not a full moon, is it?

Kidding, kidding. A stray dog in my neighbourhood always gets everyone else’s dog barking. Let them calm down for a while, they’ll get it out of their systems.

Are you sure we don’t live near one another ? My puppy Nick was out a bit ago and none too happy about his big sissy Kharma not being there with him and he was howling like a banshee.
No , wait , couldn’t have been him you heard. He sounded more like AHROOOOOOOO
AHROOOOOOOO
AHHROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Carry on.

Ana, that’s not a dog. It’s a wolf. But don’t worry, wolves are nothing like dogs.

Gah!

I’m cold…and lonely…and the wolves are after me!

Animals fear the Red Flower. Make Red Flower, be safe.

Fire good.

Now there’s a cat crying. What the hell is going on in my neighborhood? Sounds like a horror flick.

We used to live out in the country, and a couple times I’d swear that a big cat went by; every animal in the area would go absolutely insane howling and carrying on.

I wouldn’t worry too much. If you’re safe inside your house, there’s nothing to get worked up about. As long as the howling isn’t coming FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE…

:up in Ana’s ear :

AAAAWWWOOOOOOOO

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

jumps 10 feet in the air

The first dog we had never howled. So I don’t know what it sounds like up close.

So it’s the morning of the first day back to school after Christmas holidays for our family (Australia’s longest holidays are in our summer, Dec-Feb). Dog Number Two has had us at home with him for 9 weeks. He just knows that the honeymoon is over.
I have a Juliet balcony outside my bedroom. The door is open but the curtains are shut. No. 2 is nowhere to be found.

So imagine the shock as I’m getting dressed for school and I hear, from nowhere,
AAAROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRR!!!

I run to the balcony to look out, thinking the Dog from The Omen must be outside, and find my little spaniel, sadness in his hazel eyes, stretching his head up and baying at the dawning day.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to stay home.
