Umm… Because I’m That Kind of Person, I just checked- the best estimate for the total quantity of gold ever mined is approx 165,000,000kg, (maybe a little more by now, as that’s not a completely up to date stat) or to put it another way, 1/28th of the quantity apparently in this mystery vault. That’s impressive hiding skills, especially as I’m pretty sure I own some gold, and I’m fairly sure other people do as well. It’s amazing what conspiracy minded goverments/mystery organisations can do when they really put their minds to it eh?
I know there’s little point in mentioning this, apart from the fact I think we should all learn something new every day. Those of us who aren’t insane, anyway.

Um, no. The US was still on the gold standard during Lincoln, Garfield, and McKinley’s tenures. and did not go to a fiat currency until the mid-twentieth century.
According to this non-crazy site, there has been about 158 million kg of gold mined out of the Earth’s surface in the entire history of mankind.
When the very first part of your claim is that the Federal Reserve has stolen 15 times more gold than exists, it’s not a good start.

In my defense, your theory is so nebulous, it’s hard to tell what exactly you’re claiming.
So how do you feel these four presidents were trying to take us off fiat currency and back on the gold standard? Lincoln singed the First Legal Tender Act and was the first President to issue paper money - a major step towards fiat currency. Garfield spoke out against the issuing of paper money - the opposite of Lincoln’s policy. McKinley defended the gold standard (but didn’t create it - it had been in existence all along) against Populist calls for a silver standard. And Kennedy issued silver certificates, which promoted the silver standard.
What exactly do you think the single theme is that links all four of these financial policies?

It may be something subtle, after all, this IS a direct quote from the POTUS (who I believe was Woodrow Wilson in 1917), but it just doesn’t sound right somehow. Maybe it is the subjunctive mode that he was using that makes it sound clunky to modern ears.
