I think chappy has deserted us again. If you look at the threads s/he has started they come in clumps. chappy has been a member for almost three years, but comes out, like a cicada, every so often to start a spate of posts, then goes back to sleep for a while.
People keep throwing things like “facts” and “logic” at him, which forces him to scurry back into hiding until they go away and he can come back out and try again.
If anyone else has the inclination (I don’t) it might be amusing to browse through those other sky-is-falling threads to see if there are any deadlines given for all hell breaking loose. I would guess if there are, they have already passed, and only the normal amount of hell has come loose since.
It would be nice to think chappy’s gone off to get some much needed rest. But the likelihood is he’s out there doing “research” - i.e. reading conspiracy sites - and when he returns he’ll have new truths to reveal to us.
Just for giggles I googled “conspiracy theories” and got about eleven bazillion hits. Are some sites more fun than others? One could spend a rainy day being amused by the idiocies of strangers.
You can find some very interesting research here. This issue has been bothering me for a while. They always speak of “tinfoil hats”, but where in the world can you actually get tinfoil? It is all aluminum foil, which the above study shows is the polar opposite of effective. It’s a conspiracy, I tells ya! The government is out to dupe these people into thinking they are protecting themselves when in fact they are becoming hapless pawns controlled by the government’s own projection equipment.
What the government is trying to accomplish with this is far too subtle for me to grasp. I only know that I love Big Brother.
