Dying is when you stop living. Dyeing is when you change the colour of something by adding pigment. You aren’t dying your hair.
Also, discreet vs. discrete. For example, ob tampons are discreet because they are small and easily concealed. My friend took a discrete math course in university. It wasn’t a discreet math course, he didn’t have to hide the fact that it existed from anyone.
