Yesterday I was in a really bad mood. Bad day at work, etc, and the weather report said it was going to be raining and windy all day…and me with only one headlight and one working windshield wiper (since fixed, by the way).
So I leave work, and notice it’s a bit chilly.
Hmmm…
Then I get home, and Ivylad, the AC hog who will crank the unit down to 61 if I let him, has the AC turned off and all the windows open.
It’s nice and breezy, and we slept with the windows open last night.
So, besides the fact that our electricity bill will be a bit lower, it looks like summer is over and autumn is here!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh. I feel so much better.
Mind you, where I’m at it got to 110(F) this summer, so now that we have daily highs in the 70’s … and now with a recent cold front, low humidity too …
I know! The last couple of days it’s been in the high 70s, with about 50% humidity. That’s LOW for around here. After the horrible, horrible humid summer weather, it feels like heaven on Earth.
High 70s is RELATIVELY cool. Compare it to 90 to 95 degrees with 80% humidity, and high 70s at 50% is suddenly much, much better than it used to be. I’ve only been here since last January. I know this isn’t ACTUALLY cool!
What I really like is weather in the 50s and 60s. I really need to move north!
It’s very refreshing, isn’t it? I can actually wear long pants to the office again and not die of heatstroke on the way in!
Pity that in a couple of months, I’ll be wearing long pants and about 3 sweaters on the way into the office, but hey, we can’t have everything. There’s a reason this is my favorite time of year…
Start using the metric system for crying out load…

But anyway, it’s the same over here in Japan where I live. Since two weeks, the temperature has dropped about 5 degrees and the humidity is around 40% rather than 60%
Hey, at least we (mostly) had the decency to type “F” after the numbers so you KNOW it’s Fahrenheit. Try this, maybe you’ll find one you like a load. I mean, a lot.
Oh, btw, when did they move Japan to Europe? :dubious:
