These goegraphy questions don't stop! Another one for my niece.

Here’s another one. Assuming Q.E.D. bails me out again like always, can you also tell me how you find these? I hate to keep posting these if there’s an easier way to find out. Anyway, here goes.

  1. approx 500 sq km

  2. Dominant religion - Roman Catholic

  3. Gov’t is parlimentary co-principality

  4. terrain is high mts and deep valleys (are there any other kind?)

  5. 60% population Spanish origin

  6. 4% arable land, heavy food imports.

My first guess would be Gibralter, but of course, that’s probably way off.

Thanks in advance.

Andorra? A small enclave of mostly Basque kinda folks located between France and Spain.

The answer is Andorra

sounds like Andorra to me.

Damn, beaten by one minute by SandyHook
I’ll try to recover by providing a a small amount of info.

It’s a co-principality shared between Spain and France that seems to exist mainly because nobody ever bothered to formally annex it.

Main industries are duty-free shopping and traffic jams (I’m speaking from personal experience here)

The dead giveaway is “co-principality.” As far as I know, Andorra is the only country in the world with this form of government.

Duffer re your sig line: I’m not meaning to pick a fight or anything but thought you may be interested in this SD mailbag article

Yeah, I remember that, but I found another link that shows the speech he said it in, though it doesn’t work now. I’ll remove the sig to further review the sources.

Thanks for the help everyone!

I hope I haven’t given the impression that I wanted you to remove your sig. I simply recalled that particular article when I saw your sig line and thought you might be interested in it.

I’ll say no more.
