Here’s a REALLY good suggestion I found out after I had foot surgery:
When you’re making food and you want to go eat somewhere, first move a chair into the kitchen. Place the food on the plate on the chair. Hobble a few feet away then pull the chair to you. The food stays nice and flat and you shouldn’t have any problems moving the your meal to the table or sofa.
Also buy two of those 1 liter tupperware or tupperware knock off bottles. The one with the snap pour spout. Put all beverages in there you are going to consume.
IDBB: You might want to consider spending some time doing a number of ankle strenghtening excersizes. It could help to remedy your problem.
