Nobody ever watches TV (on TV too) or even has one in their home.

In The Fast and the Furious the rice-boys constantly referred to nitrous oxide injection as “nahhs”. Nitrous Oxide Systems is but one brand name of nitrous injection and does use NOS as its trade mark symbol. Any and all real racers use many terms to descibe nitrous but NEVER “nahhs”.

Here’s mine:
Street and Highway signs that are obvious fakes dummied up by the prop department. They’re never reflectorized like a real sign, and the outline around the edge always has squared corners instead of rounded like its supposed to.
And for crist’s sake, can’t they at least try to get the font right? Have you ever seen a white-on-green freeway sign in Helvetica All-Caps?
The only example I can think of right now is the first Vacation movie (“Wally World-Next 3 Exits”), but I know there are many more, many worse ones.

Character 1 has some highly important information. Character 2 is about to do something that he/she would do differently if they knew the info that Character 1 has. Character 1 starts to tell them, they get interrupted, and Character 2 takes off without listening. Later, Character 1 gets to spill the beans, thus setting into motion the chain of events that lead us to the conclusion.
If you’re in a life or death situation, and someone says to you “I think there’s something you should know”, listen to that person, and don’t be put off by the other guy who runs up to you, or the phone ringing or anything. Make that person tell you before you rush away!
In romantic comedies, this device is used to play out a scene where one character has a secret that will affect the way the other character feels about them. When they try to tell them, the other character butts in and doesn’t listen. Later, the information surfaces and causes a rift between the two people.
It’s so unrealistic. Who would just let the other person walk away without revealing the information that’s so important??
