Things that purplex you

It is about sex. And that rhymes with purplex! Mother sends the now old enough to be out on her own young woman to visit grandma with a care package. Red meets a “wolf” on the way, who wants her sexually. Red, being naive, mentions she is on her way to granny’s house and the wolf meets her there and first has sex with the granny, and then Red. This is rape. And that is the feminist interpretation of Lil’ Red Riding Hood. The porno version is better.

Oh, OK. But what are the boobies for? And how is babby formed?

If it just says “20% more chips than the leading brand” then all it means is the bags are bigger - it doesn’t mean they necessarily cost the same. The bags might cost 25% more, in which case the leading brand is cheaper.

It’s like Tesco toilet paper - it says:

*Soft, strong, and as long as the leading brand

  • in independent tests**

Now, obviously they want you to think that it’s been proven to be as soft and strong as the leading brand in independent tests, but all that claim really means is that each roll is the same **length ** as the leading brand. It annoys me every time I see it.

I am truley sorry for your lots.

I’d rather be purplexed than suplexed.

Did you hear what happened to the Wicked Witch of the East?

She got duplexed.

When I read the post after the OP, I knew this poor thread never had a chance :frowning:

Does that purplex you?

The color change and that one extra line made all the difference, eh?

Anyway, another one that confuses me is those huge light-up signs on the highways around Houston that mostly provide indications of traffic slowdowns ahead. Every couple days, however, they read something like “Missing elderly, brown Buick, licence yadd yadda, call police”. Then after a day or so, the sign is changed to read something else, and we never find out whether the old codger was ever found or not. Do they just diappear into the ether? Are there thousands of lost old folk doddering around the Interstates forever?, Are they being quietly escorted to a secluded glade and being turned into mulch? No idea.
