Things that Q.E.D. knows nothing about

Hey, just be glad I haven’t run nekkid.

Here.

Yet;)

Better you than me. It’s cold here today!

QED doesn’t know how many fingers I’m holding up.

That cute, knowledgeable rat-bastard, Q.E.D., doesn’t know the number I’m thinking about that’s between 1 and 10.

One. Hey, that’s not a very nice finger!

Pi [sup].[/sup] e + i[sup]2[/sup].

I’m betting Q.E.D. does not know how to play the hurdy-gurdy.

That would be why I am inside and have the heat on.

[sub]11K posts in one year … I just noticed that. Holy fuck, dude. That’s 1K/mo.[/sub]

Hey, indecisive1! Did anything in particular prompt this thread, or did it just come to you? Either way, it’s kinda cool.

I’m betting Q.E.D. doesn’t know how to build a backyard biogas digester to power a barbeque.

What on earth is the hurdy-gurdy?

Bonus points to QED if he answers this.

Q.E.D. surely does not know everything. I imagine, however, that he knows how to subtract 3 from 5, which apparently gives him an edge over 'punha here.

[sub]I keed, I keed…[/sub]

Two years, silly man. It’s January, 2005 now. :stuck_out_tongue:

He just seems to know so much about well, so much. A recent thread about how nitrogen is used on phone lines had me smacking my head wondering what the guy doesn’t know about, and so here’s the thread.

It’s a weird stringed/keyboard instrument, powered by a hand crank. The crank turns a wheel, coated with rosin, the same way the bows of the violin family are. The wheel rubs the strings and the melody is played on a keyboard. It sounds like a strange cross between a bagpipe and a violin, and was often used by street performers in the 19th century.

And no, other than turning the crank, I don’t know how to play one. I bet I could make some interesting sounds come out of it, though.

Ah, that’s right.

Otherwise, that’d put you at a steady 30 ppd average, which no amount of Googling could support…15 a day is still a lot, though.

The first few months I was here, I was close to 30 ppd. My average is down to about 15, but I’d say the last 6-8 months or so I’ve been closer to the 5-10 ppd range.

My fingers got tired from all that typing!

I bet QED knows nothing of how Madonna altered her concert on Spetember 15th, 2001, to reflect the events of 4 days before.

I’ve done my share of 30-post days. Hell, I’ve had more than one 100-post day. However, I don’t envision another 100-post day any time soon. Hell, it’s damn difficult to get 30 in a day!

Dammit! Okay…

Q.E.D. does not know how many jellybeans are in the jar on my desk.

Is not! Sheesh!
Okay, well, maybe sorta. But a poll of an unusually fluffy, personal kind.
Do NOT question the decisions of the Great And Omnipotent One, pesky varlet!
(Ignore any bumblings behind that curtain too.)

BTW, I have it on excellent authority that QED knows diddly-squat about the aerodynamic qualities of African swallows.

  • Yes, I am joking. Just seemed especially apt in a thread started by “indecisive”.

Q.E.D. don’t know much about history.
Q.E.D. don’t know much biology.
